Wondering how many people got asked their original birth certificates here...especially for the beneficiary? I seem to have misplaced mine...... I have certified copy of original birth certificate though along with affidavits. All these copies were submitted in 2007 (see my timeline for my confused longstanding history). Somehow between then and now, with interview in less than 48 hrs,....can't find my original birth certificate.

So question is...how many beneficiaries get asked for theirs at interview?

04/12/2014 - Received transfer notice in mail stating file transferred from Nebraska to NBC Lee Summit, Montana (so disappointed as I thought it was at local office now).
04/14/2014- emailed Nebraska and scopscata to see what's going on with file due to conflicting info I've gotten and NBC doesn't even show processing I485.
04/14/2014- Got response from scopscata saying will look into email, forward to resolution team.
04/14/2014- I485 updated to "485 was transferred and is now being processed at USCIS office"
04/25/2014- Text message and case update online "testing and interview" stage.
05/06/2014- Text message and case update online with interview date of June 11, 2014.
06/05/2014-Notice sent by NYC acting district director/office that interview date is Aug 21, 2014.....??????????? No change online
06/11/2014 - Interview for AOS. I130 was already attached. Approved and got passport stamped. YAY. Thank God.
06/19/2014 - Case updated online with text and email saying new card mailed.....

06/21/2014-Condtional GC received along with welcome letter.

Any further updates with people here? Seemed like NYC was picking up pace for a while with all the updates. But its been quiet for a while now - this thread even fell off the first page.

I'm about to hit the 100 day mark. Still in T&I, waiting for that interview date. Hope it comes soon.

Finally got my interview date - six weeks after going into T&I. Interview set for 7/25, a day before my birthday. Hoping to get some good news then!!

In the meantime, gonna brush up on that ol package sent out over 3 months ago. Wish me luck :-)

Me too! Got email saying they mailed a letter with my appointment details for 7/25!

No word on my EAD though.. Which is very frustrating...

Haha...cool! We may run into you there. Make sure to wear a Brazil World Cup jersey so that we can recognize you ;-p

Regarding your EAD, if everything goes well in a month, you may not even need it. But, yes it is frustrating not to be able to work for another month. Hopefully it comes through soon!

Hi Melibelle,

I am assuming mine will be at the Plaza as we live in Manhattan. But I haven't received the hardcopy yet - or maybe I have, but the wife and I are both away on the west coast for work. We'll update here when we get back to the city.

Six weeks may sound like a long time - but it may be due to fact that an extensive background check was needed as I have been here for over 16 years as an F-1 student then an H1-B professional, and prior to that as an F-1 dependent with my folks. But even with all of that, I'm happy it only took six weeks. If you look at USCIS processing time, NYC is still officially processing PDs from Sep 29, 2013. That being said, we saw a flurry of activity on this thread last month where members got interviews scheduled within just a few weeks of moving to T&I. So hoping for the best for you too!

Thanks MnMJourney! I rather wonder what that September 2013 processing date really means given that there are so many New Yorkers from this year who have already received their green cards. From what I've seen on the threads, it's only taking about 4 months in most cases.

Our case has been stuck on Acceptance in USCIS since our NOA date in early May. At least we have the EAD/AP card but wondering what will happen next and when??

07/29/2013 I-129F Sent via FedEx to Lewisville, TX. 07/30/2013 I-129F TSC Received. 08/01/2013 NOA1. 08/07/2013 NOA1 Received by mail.

10/30/2013 NOA2

11/04/2013 NOA2 Received by mail. 11/21/2013 USCIS shipped the approved case to NVC 

12/02/2013 NVC Received, LND case number provided, "At NVC" 12/04/2013 Left NVC! "In Transit"

12/11/2013 Medical - Completed! 

01/23/2014 INTERVIEW! APPROVED!

01/31/2014 VISA IN HAND!

03/31/2014 POE New York JFK 04/19/2014 WEDDING!

04/30/2014 Forms sent via FedEx to USCIS in Chicago, IL

05/10/2014 Received NOA in mail

06/03/2014 Biometrics @ Varick Street ASC - Completed!

07/12/2014 AP/EAD Approved!

07/18/2014 EAD/AP card received in mail!

08/18/2014 Notice of Potential Interview Waiver received

04/14/2015 GC approved and in Production!

04/18/2015 Received Welcome Letter!

04/21/2015 GREEN CARD ARRIVED!!

01/14/2017 I-751 Package sent via USPS Priority Express to USCIS Vermont Service Center

01/18/2017 NOA date

01/27/2017 Received NOA in the mail 

02/09/2017 Received Biometrics Appt Letter

02/21/2017 Biometrics Appointment 

12/21/2017 Removal of Conditions approved! 

01/02/2018 Received NOA in the mail

01/08/2018 Website updated to "my card was mailed," received text and email to same effect, and Green Card appeared on same day in the mail!

Naturalization Timeline

01/14/2018 Filed online, credit card payment accepted, NOA dated 1/14/18 appeared online 1/17/18. Received NOA in the mail on 1/19/18.

02/09/2018 Biometrics Appointment

10/10/2018 Interview Letter posted online

11/14/2018 Interview

12/07/2018 OATH!
