No email/text I even called USCIS today cried my eyes out cuz they still fed me the you're in normal processing time no update smh I was enjoying the sun with my son outside when the mail man came wit one letter for me!!

I FINALLY GOT MY INTERVIEW DATE APRIL 23!!!!

Hey everyone, I've been a member for quite some time and went through everything you guys did back in 2011. I now have my Greencard and everything, but now I'm trying to help a friend out. He got married sometime in the Fall and filed his papers through an attorney in December. As of today, he still haven't heard anything about his biometrics. Since it's through a lawyer, he doesn't get any updates on whether they have received anything or mailed him anything, so the wait is driving him nuts. His situation isn't very complicated either, he is from England and came as a tourist and got married! He is in New York City as well. What do you think he should do at this point?

I am also a New York City filer. I send the whole package on February 21, had my Biometrics taken on March 18 in New York city (with the original appointment being on March 25), but the status of my I-485 has not changed yet.. Should I start getting worried?

Our AOS priority date is 3/13 and our biometrics fee was accepted on 3/18. Seems like hard copies in NYC take a little longer than other places - we received ours on 3/27.

Based on the timelines here, my biometrics appointment should be scheduled for sometime next week, but we haven't received the notice yet. Don't want to miss the appointment just because we didn't get the hard copy.

Should we call USCIS and ask if a date has been set? Or can I just go to Varick ST with a case number and do a walk-in?

They won't let you do it without hard copy.You should try calling and if the 1st time isn't successful call again.They usually have story that you need to wait 30 days blq blq.

Not used to posting on the forum. My signature states my journey with the whole GC. In nutshell, I have pending AOS from 2007, employment based, that is retrogressed for my country. Got married to my USC husband and filed I130 last year, got approved Feb 2014. Lawyers (and some other cases I've seen online) shows USCIS will convert pending AOS from employment to marriage if requested, which was done in my case.

My pending AOS is now changed to sent to local office (for interview). It changed today.

I will most likely be interviewing at Long Island City/Queens location since that's where I living.

My question....how long does it take to get interview scheduled? I already have had my fingerprinting done way back.

I am excited but also know NYC is VERY slow. Was hoping to get GC before my EAD expires end July....Guess I will still submit EAD renewal, just in case....

In your opinion, how long is the wait from here on.....

06/05/2014-Notice sent by NYC acting district director/office that interview date is Aug 21, 2014.....??????????? No change online
06/11/2014 - Interview for AOS. I130 was already attached. Approved and got passport stamped. YAY. Thank God.
06/19/2014 - Case updated online with text and email saying new card mailed.....

06/21/2014-Condtional GC received along with welcome letter.

I filed my AOS package on 16 January, 2014 and had the biometrics on 14 February. My case status is still the same, it indicates Acceptance stage. I have no idea what's going on. Will be glad to hear your ideas.

Make an InfoPass appointment. Call USCIS and try to get connected to Tier 2 IO. Go to your local Congress representative and ask to make an inquiry on your behalf.

Did you have to re-do your medical exam or biometrics?

Well not so far...all I see is they transferred the I485 to local office. I only did medical once and biometrics in beginning. I've had multiple EAD/AP issued and never needed biometrics again. I'm assuming that I will not need biometrics, but maybe updated medical? Not sure what point they will ask. I'd have thought that before transfer, they'd have cleared RFE issues such as medical and then transferred for final interview/approval etc.

Hoping to hear opinions and other's experience....

12/9/13 - Case update to "transferred to another office for processing" and received text and email alert.
12/10/13 - Case update "transferred to local USCIS office for processing"
12/12/13- Case update "transferred and being processed at a USCIS office"
12/14/13 - Received 2 hard copies stating transferred to California Service Center, left Priority Date blank
2/5/2014- Email/Txt I130 approved and notice mailed.
2/10/2014-Hard Copy NOA2. Approval

2/21/2014-Letter sent to request conversion for old I485 from employment to marriage with copy of I485 receipt and I130 approval
03/19/2014 - Service request to check on conversion request status.
04/04/2014 - Service request status through mail stating request received for conversion and file being prepared for transfer to local office.
04/08/2014 - I485 updated to "transferred to local office"
04/12/2014 - Received transfer notice in mail stating file transferred from Nebraska to NBC Lee Summit, Montana (so disappointed as I thought it was at local office now).
04/14/2014- emailed Nebraska and scopscata to see what's going on with file due to conflicting info I've gotten and NBC doesn't even show processing I485.
04/14/2014- Got response from scopscata saying will look into email, forward to resolution team.
04/14/2014- I485 updated to "485 was transferred and is now being processed at USCIS office"
04/25/2014- Text message and case update online "testing and interview" stage.
05/06/2014- Text message and case update online with interview date of June 11, 2014.
06/05/2014-Notice sent by NYC acting district director/office that interview date is Aug 21, 2014.....??????????? No change online
06/11/2014 - Interview for AOS. I130 was already attached. Approved and got passport stamped. YAY. Thank God.
06/19/2014 - Case updated online with text and email saying new card mailed.....

06/21/2014-Condtional GC received along with welcome letter.

04/06/2016- Filed I-751 along with evidence
