Hi Everybody,

I need some help figuring out what is happening:

I filed for removal of conditions on 7/18/2013, got the biometrics letter on 8/23/2013 and transfer to California notice on 9/12/2013,

and never heard anything from them since.

It has been almost 8 months since I filed, and I am just wondering if something is wrong, especially since I haven't received a request for more evidence or an interview notice, or any other communication whatsoever.

I heard New York office is very slow, but this seems like unusually long waiting time ....

If anyone had a similar case, please share your experience,

Did you originally filed in California and then moved to NY?

No, I have filed from New York, and it was routed to Vermont Service Center, however it got transferred to California,

because of the load distribution I guess, but I believe it should be back in the local NY office by now.

I am worried whether this is just local NY office being exceptionally slow,

or is there some sort of problem and that is the reason it is taking this long

That's strange, I see timelines from people filing in NYC, and they are usually done within 4-5 months. Did you try to make an appointment via their InfoPass service? Did you receive EAD card? Also, I suggest you make a post in the AOS topic, more people look through it.

USCIS just updated there site for NY apparently it'll take anywhere between 7-8months they went from July(the update last month was July 26th 5months max) to June (updated lastnight june 7-8months)

they're moving beyond slow they're going backwards. smfh i'm still waiting in testing and interview stagfe 3 month now filed Oct 9th!

The process is ambiguous; as you see, there are December fliers who had already passed the interview stage (also from NY) and there are fliers from 8-9 months ago who did not even have their interviews scheduled. Did you try to make an appointment with InfoPass or meet with your congressional representative? That might speed up the course of the process.

Maybe I need to go to church this stress might kill me before I get the interview lol

User Nevergiveup received first NOA on January, 3rd and has his interview scheduled for March, 19th. No one is ever 100% sure what will trigger the expedition of your process. At least you come to terms with your conscience if you know you tried everything you could. See representative from your congressional office, they tend to help rather than hurt - a couple of my friends got their EADs expedited after they sought assistance from the office.

Just to make sure we are on the same page here,

I am talking about Removal of Conditions application taking too long (8 months),

not the original application for EAD and conditinal green card.

I already received my conditional green card in september 2011.

No email/text I even called USCIS today cried my eyes out cuz they still fed me the you're in normal processing time no update smh I was enjoying the sun with my son outside when the mail man came wit one letter for me!!

I FINALLY GOT MY INTERVIEW DATE APRIL 23!!!!
