<----- not true I also filed mid August and just had interview done today (nov 26th) and status updated to card production. Just be patient, it could all be about luck according to who have had

At 7am this morning received text/email "we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for March 19, 2014"

Unfortunately,months ago,my wife had booked trip to Brasil March 15-22.So very sadly I will have to request rescheduling.Hopefully the wait for new date won't be too long considering how quickly first one came.

PS.Rescheduling her trip is not an option considering that her friend has set vac dates and it's all non-refundable:(

10/2010 - met online, 12/2012 - reconnected, 7/3/ 2013 - my 1st trip to England & he proposed! 11/7/2013 - got married in NYC

11/15/13 - mailed i130 & i485 to Chicago lockbox

(Day 1) - 11/16/13 AOS received at Chicago lockbox

(Day 6) - 11/22/13 Email & text message receipt notification received at 12:04 am & check for I130 cleared

(Day 16) - 12/2/13 Biometric appointment letter received, letter was mailed to us on 11/27/13. Appointment scheduled for 12/19/13.

(Day 33) - 12/19/13 Biometrics appointment completed
(Day 38) - 12/24/13 status changed to "Testing and Interview"

(Day 62) - 1/17/14 EAD card in production

(Day 67) - 1/22/14 EAD card mailed

(DAY 73) - 1/28/14 EAD card received

(day 102) - 2/26/24 interview. Waiting on notification of interview outcome.

August 5,2013:got e_mail/text notification for all 3 forms.

August 6,2013:Checks cashed.

August 8, 2013 : NOA received for all three applications.

August 12,2013:Just received biometrics appointment letter in the mail,for Sept.5.

August 21,2013:Biometrics done.

September 03, 2013 : Email/Text notification for I-485, stating that it is in the "Testing and Interview" stage.

September 25,2013:Card production ordered for EAD.

October 3,2013: EAD card mailed.

October 5, 2013: EAD card received

November 27th,2013:received text ,e-mail notification for interview date for Jan .3rd

OUR INTERVIEW

Hi Everyone,

We had our interview yesterday at Federal Plaza. It was so much drama actually getting there because I (petitioner) left my wedding ring at home accidentally. We didn't realize this until we were on the subway. This at at 9:30 a.m. Our appointment was at 10:45 a.m.! So we had to get off the train, take a taxi home, grab my ring and stay in the taxi to Federal Plaza from Harlem. That was not cheap.

Anyway, we got into a long line for security at 10:30. We just knew we were going to be late. We finally got to the necessary office 15 minutes late. Everyone who helped us was really nice about it and they put us at ease. 5 minutes after arriving our IO called us back. She had just finished interviewing a very suspicion looking couple (african american woman in her late 20s and Middle Eastern man in his early or mid 50s) whose appointment was ahead of us, so our lateness did not matter.

Our IO was a black woman who seemed to be in her late 30s early 40s. She was really nice and our interview was more conversational than grilling interrogation. She told my husband that she loved his accent. The interview lasted 10 minutes max. We did not get approved on the spot, which is not surprising because they don't do same day approvals in NYC anymore. We asked how long it will take to hear something and she said that she didn't want to hold on to our case long and we should hear something from them soon.

Overall it was a great interview and my husband and I are confident that he will be approved. However, we are still waiting for notification.

Hello everyone,

We cannot thank you guys enough for the support we have received from this community we could not have done it without you. So this is how our interview went, our appointment was at 9:00 am but we got there half an hour before, we were given a number 87 and at the time they were serving number 35 so we thought we were going to be there a while but just 5 minutes later they call on my husbands name. The case officer asked us some very basic questions regarding our application and then he asked my husband basic question about us such as what country was I born in and of course he mentioned the CITY that I was born, he then asked him my date of birth and our children ages and that was the point where I almost killed my husband and ended 18 years of marriage on the spot, he couldn't remember any of this, he first said my year of birth correctly and then made me 5 years younger he couldn't remember whether our son was 9 or 10 and the schools that our children go to. The officer left our file pending and said that we would be receiving news in 30 days but I guess he must have felt sorry for my husband and in an effort to save my husbands life ( lol) we received notice that same night by email that our i130 had been approved and that we will receive our card in 30 to 60 days. So overall good news! As long as your marriage is legit you should not have anything to worry about.

Didn't you re-schedule the interview date? Perhaps they marked the wrong option while updating your case.

Didn't you re-schedule the interview date? Perhaps they marked the wrong option while updating your case.

I was thinking(hoped) the same.I called the # and I was told that it was system error but they couldn't tell me whether my interview has been rescheduled yet or not.

I will try to go in person next week and if I don't get anything resolved I'll go in on original interview date by myself just to make sure my reschedule request has been received.

Actually,I just remembered that rescheduling couldn't effect it because I had "random address change update"

on I-130,131,765 but not on 485...
