Oh that just makes me even more frustrated!!! Well it's 6 weeks exactly today and still no word. I'll give them until the 60 day mark and then start to ask questions.

To Artist123,

That's simply mind boggling that you have waited nearly 45 days and still no decision. Hang in there. Hopefully this ordeal will be over soon.

Wow I just read the post on track it and I must say that, the lady is ridiculous. So far she has held up you and the other guy on trackit's application. In fact she might have several applications backed up you never know. I still can't believe she actually said "sometimes the card get lost", what a shame

I know! Telling us to "watch the post" - what can you watch if it's gone AWOL to God-knows-elsewhere?!!

I just spoke to a friend who has a buddy in INS and he was told it could be a 5 - 12 week average, post interview. If it's 12 weeks, well we are half way there. Not much consolation as this process seems to have gone on forever as it stands!!

Hey guys, I am still waiting for the I-485 approval as well. It's been almost a month since my interview. I reached out to my congressman today and here is his representative's response: "I was conferring with my colleague regarding your case. She indicated that it may be too soon to follow-up on your I-485 given that the interview was only a few weeks ago. Currently for I-485 applications, the processing time after an interview is at least several months. I will hang on to your privacy release and put in my calendar to follow-up with USCIS in the first week of August to see where things are."

By the way, my interviewer was a relatively young male in his late 20s or early 30s. So it could be that a bunch of interviewers at Federal Plaza are holding up cases. Hope everyone in similar situations can get his or her green card soon!!!

I have a hunch that one particular supervisor at Fed Plaza has probably instructed all the officers that fall under his / her jurisdiction to do this while others are still operating as they see fit.

NYC sufferers,

Please see link below with actual timelines for a particular law firm. What I observed when you compare among Federal Plaza, LIC and Holtsville is that LIC and Holtsville rarely had long delays whereas with Fed Plaza, its anything goes.

Oh my God, from what I see in that link, there is no pattern at Fed Plaza at all!!!!! This just fills me with total despair!!!!! Do they actually realize at Fed Plaza that this is happening or are they so swamped with cases that they are oblivious to the randomness of it all?!

Hi, all!

Just got my interview in L.I.C office (Jackson avenue) and got approved on the spot with my passport stamped and I-94 taken. Have received all welcome e-mails and that my card is in production notice. Was waiting for almost 3 hours to be called for the interview. Was lucky to have my lawyer with be, bcoz she was the one that asked for the stamp in my passport. At first officer said the answer will be mailed in 2-3 weeks, but as the interview was coming to an end, he changed his mind. We were told to wait outside and he will ask the superviser if he can stamp the passport. Some 15 min. later, he came out with my stamped passport. And that's it! Now I'm done for some time....

Also would like to thank all the people that shared their stories, that helped us alot. Good luck to all!
