Hello,

Yes she received both Travel and Work Document end of December last year.

Good luck and hope you get your interviews soon!

I am also waiting since October 21. I'm 2 days away from their current processing time.

I will call as soon as it gets updated.

NEWBIE from France who just got an interview date, did it say which office you will do the interview at?

No - they did not say in the email or text which office the interview is located. I think that information will be in the mail. Once we receive it we will let you know.

Koucki - im still waiting too..... they received my application on Nov 8th

i called them last week, and got a really unhelpful person who just told me that i was within processing time and i just had to wait......

you should probably have the work and travel docs now.....

i applied for a EAD card but they never processed it, but as im on a H1B visa in status it doesn't really matter, so i let it go, not wanting to hold up the process....

ha... that turned out to be a joke......

it was my plan to wait for the next update and hopefully they will set the date after Nov 8th, but knowing my luck it will be Nov 7th :(

It all seemed so straight forward too..... i can't really see any complications that could arise from our case, no previous marriages, no children, British citizen...... always been in status.....

no referrals.....

8 months seems an inordinate amount of time to not hear anything....

we actually want to move states, but feel that we should stay here until this comes through just, not wanting to cause problems this late in the game.... but i've been thinking "any day now" for months....... :(

Wow!! I hear you...

I'm in a similar situation... currently on an H1, but the lawyer said it's better to apply for an EAD (just in case the GC interview date takes longer than usual). Anyway, 8 months seems like a long time, especially when we compare it to everyone else getting their GC within just 3 months or so.

Every day after work, I used to go straight home to check the mail box, but get disappointed not to find anything from USCIS... so now, I'm just waiting, and try not to think about it.

On the other hand, I'm happy to have found this site, and know that there are others going through the same situation.

I called the USCIS yesterday, the agent was nicer than others :) she said that my A# was changed (don't know why or how) and said that might be the cause of the delay? (not sure if it makes sense). Anyway, she created a new inquiry for all the applications, and hope that will result in something.

noxreallyxhonest & bricejustin

Hang in there...

Good luck!!

Will keep you posted

For some reason I am unable to edit my previous post. But, it states "we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for August 11, 2011, at NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER."

Does not say which specific office but more details should be on the letter.

Looks like there are a lot of us in the same boat...

So we should not lose hope.

This should be resolved very soon... hopefully 1 month to 1.5 months tops...

Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I heard that it's not only AOS cases that has been delayed...

I have a friend who was trying to get get conditional status removed, took her forever too.

Apparently, INS did a lot of cuts with man power. thus the delays.

Congratulation Ronald. My interview is coming up and hopefully everything goes smoothly like yours. :star:

Great news! My interview went well and the interview officer stamped my passport. After 10 months, finally I am good to fly to see my parents. best luck to all NYC filers!
