DCF in Manila Help

We went to the Embassy this morning (new building, new address, new window) and asked for the Status of my I-130. The man behind the window said (without checking any papers) that it will take the approval 3-6 months. I don't know if he actually understood me but hopefully he's talking about the WHOLE DCF PROCESS and not the I-130 alone. Another thing, when we submitted the forms last February, the lady who received it said it will take 60-120 days. I guess you can say I'm annoyed with their conflicting timelines and lack of helpful information.

My questions then would be: should I ask these people manning the window for my status update OR should I be asking someone else? Anyone here knows the updated trunkline of Window 25? Or anyone here who recently submitted (Feb timeline) their I-130 through DCF?

Oh my gosh, does it really take that long for them to process that? My husband and I were planning to transfer our case to Manila since I am here right now. But we did our DCF in Tokyo last February too, and it got approved for only a week.

I helped a friend do a DCF at USEM and it took about 3 months total.

I remember that post. Your friend was from Mindanao, right? I'm hoping our case wouldn't take that long as the guy have mentioned. We just emailed a follow up on the status yesterday. Waiting for their response.

Wow! Wish they can do faster processing too but I think our country have a high number of fraud cases (e.g. married for convenience, etc.) submitted to the USEM. They are really going to dissect each cases. It's a good thing you didn't transfer it here. We would be on the same boat lol

You are correct. My friends wife was/is from Mindanao. He was a christian pastor and lived in the Cotobato ares for over 12 years and things got way out of hand with the MILF. USEM CO didn't hardly interview him and his wife as they want Americans out of Mindanao. Especially that area.

The MPH inquiry responded! Our Form I-130 has been approved since March 21. That's a day less for a month.

I really wonder what possesses them to make people feel discouraged though?
