I like the idea of the F35 hanging on for 65 years. But it could probably wait another 4-5 years ...

From the original post:

The program has fallen years behind schedule, causing billions of dollars of additional expense, and won't be ready until 2016.

The F14 was an impressive jet. 70something to 2006. I like the idea of the F35 hanging on for 65 years. But it could probably wait another 4-5 years while we put our other business in order.

F22s for now should be OK.

And what other business do we have? School bullying? Golf? Japan is trashed and melting down, the middle east is imploding and what do we get. A Presidential presentation on school bullying between vacations and rounds of golf.

Gitmo is still open and won't be closed, the wars have been expanded, health care has been ruled unconstitutional, our allies melt down and we get school bullying and golf.

How about it? To start. You are waiting for Obama to fix it? maybe the Dems we elected in 2006? Who are YOU waiting for to fix the economy?

No, not waiting on anything, notice its absence from my post.

Repeated short questions plus an emphasized caps there. I sense anger issues.

I sense no answers here, even if the questions are short and simple.

We need this jet like someone needs a tooth ache. This is nothing but another hose job to the American tax payer. When will our government get a clue on reality ?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

You must have missed the part where I very specifically stated I wasn't waiting on anyone, because- you guessed it; I didn't write it.

Definite infantile anger issues.

One thing to consider, this program employs thousands of private sector workers. It isn't just a black hole we throw money into. Maybe we need it or maybe we don't but understand that cutting the program is also either cutting a lot of jobs or not creating a lot of jobs.

I understand it creates jobs, but on the other hand it cost the US in the long run. It's another pork barrel thing with cost over runs. We could be spending this money a lot better ...like securing our borders....with a wall or two.

Very true. To be fair, where those jobs are located will of course dictate how certain lawmakers will vote on authorizing these expenditures.
