I had my interview in san diego on march 8th. The next day I received an email saying that the green card production had been ordered. Yesterday march 14th I received the same email again only with the date of the 14th. I also received the welcome letter in the mail on the 14th. My question is will I be recieving the card soon without anymore updates on the uscis website or will it say something else when they send the card? thank you all.

Congratulations!!! If you received the welcome letter yesterday, expect your green card within a week. In our case, we received the card four days after the welcome letter. We didn't receive any more emails after the "card production" email.

Hello again to all. Today I recieved an email saying that on march 15th an approval notice has been sent out to you for the I-485. Will this be the actual green card or just another piece of paper? what does uscis actually email you when green card is sent out?

They send you a welcome notice as well as your GC attached to paper the same way the EAD was.

Usually you get the welcome notice first (which is basically your approval notice) but some people have got them together.

HELLO ALL VISAJOURNEY MEMBERS!!! Just wanted to let you all know that I recieved my green card in the mail today!! Very exciting day for me as I have been waiting about 23 years since I came to this country at the age of 1 so I couldnt be any happier. I want to say good luck to all of you who are still in the process. Just never give up and never lose hope. It is a very long an complicated journey but everyone's day will come soon enough. Keep your faith in the LORD and everything will come true for you. Thank you guys again and good luck to all!
