AOS interview theory

Hey Guys,

As we have our interview on the 5th April, I have been poring over the AOS interview experiences. One common link with all interviews is that there is a 15 to 30 minute wait after the initial appointment time where a couple is in a waiting room. Now we know most government buildings are equipped with security cameras, is it possible that someone is watching the prospective couple to see thier body language and interaction with each other to determine bona fide intentions? Just putting it out there.

I can't comment on the AOS interview since we didn't have one, but I do know when my now husband and I were at the consulate for our k-1 interview, we waited a while also. And then when we got up to the window and the vice-consular interviewed us, one of the first things he said after the initial chit chat was "okay, lets pull up the video". I'm sure they were watching - it's a government building so you expect it anyway, but yeah, they probably also like to see how the couple interacts and how comfortable/familiar they seem with one another.

Well they call your name and invite you in the interwiewing room and then they`ll know who you are

Yes, but most people wait before they are called in. The IO can't watch the whole room - or rather doing so would be a waste of time. There was one member here who had a laugh because she was a swedish national but her father was african, and when the IO called them, the IO said, "Oh! I am sorry, I said someone else's name!" and the member said, "Nope, that's me!" The IO was expecting a blond swede and she did not fit that description. I am sure they peek at people, but they can't be sure who is who.

yes , ofourse they don`t know who you are when they look at the cams (if they do lol, we`re just assuming here), what i ment was that when they call your name and see you face to face , they " remember" seeing you on the cam while you wre waiting.

People still behave kind of normal when in the waiting room. If you really want to find out about a person's real behavior, you'd have to watch them when they're in the bathroom. I would be more worried about the cameras inside the rolls that hold the bathroom tissue.

They film the devil out of you, at AOS and in the consulates, too. The walls have eyes (and possibly also ears).

Generally they have your file that has all your photos in it. They would look at the photos and then look for you in the waiting room would they not?

I had an aos interview and I believe they hear and see all. don't even get me started with those interviewers and what I think of them!

I believe there's cameras and mics, watching and listening whatever so they can use it against you. we saw couples kissing the hell out of each other in the waiting room on purpose.
