Where does this idea come from that a large earthquake would sever California and sink ii into the ocean? First off, that's literally impossible, second, were it really possible, a chunk of rock that size would displace so much sea water the rest of the world would in fact be devastated by water displacement. Sure, a huge quake is perfectly possible in CA, same as it was in Japan, and such a quake would ensure thousands of deaths but Arizona would not suddenly become beach front property and nor would California or Californians cease to exist. Science, such an underrated subject in the US.

Since I live in the area I guess I can officially tell Paul to go to hell. Shame on you for wishing death on people.

I didn't wish death upon anyone. I simply said it wouldn't phase me. Get a damn grip.

Just curious, did you acclimate to the dry heat or did you grow up in it?

It's not all that 'dry' here. We have moderate humidity in North Central Texas.

The 'very humid' parts are down near Houston.

You said "absolutely" to the question "Is this really something to be happy about?". That goes beyond simply not being phased.

Wow OP. I can't believe the title of your post. Is this really something to be happy about? :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

absolutely.

Many have been waiting for AZ beachfront property for awhile.

Cali go bye-bye!

What ever you sick ####. You were cheering if California were hit by an earthquake a few posts up.

Paul portrays himself is an odd fish, he hates 'other' people and would rather live in a log cabin than in society hence his indifference to the suffering of others and a total inability to empathise. He's the closest VJ has to a classic narcissit. There are others that have this trait, but Paul has it in spades. I would not worry about his statements, just feel sorry for him or ignore him ;)

There's always hope that California will leave the US and join the EU. :)

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

More people die each winter in the heartland from weather related incidents than have in an entire 100 years from earthquakes in California.

I guess God is sending mixed messages.

The EU????

If we open the door to secession, California could just be on its own and outperform the rest of this country (except NYC which will become like the Vatican of capitalism )

I would support that - we could keep our tax base and not send all our federal dollars to the Welfare Queen states

That's a brilliant image, I'm just trying to decide who'd be the 'pope' of capitalism, contenders?

"California outperform the rest of this country" .... lol ?

California is bankrupt. It brought upon it's own demise.
