I say apply for it.

I didn't, because my local office is 'quick' to issue interviews. That back-fired because I'm stuck in name checks after my interview. I will be applying for my EAD in the next few days.

Oh wow! I just got mail for the interview notice. It is October 19th! So I think I won't file for EAD now :) Now I have to prepare for the interview!

If you get a stamp on your passport, does that mean you can work right away? Do you usually wait until you receive your green card? I have to start looking other information now.

I want to thank you all for giving me advise. This website is great

So you can still be stuck after the interview...that makes me worried...maybe I should apply for EAD...Now confused!
