Hello all,

I have been looking for information regarding work visas for canadian LPN's with little luck. All that I DO know is that I do not qualify for a TN visa because I am an LPN not an RN. Does anybody know what kind of visa I DO qualify for? And if so how long it normally takes to receive said visa? Would my best bet be to find an employer in my desired area and have them file a petition on my behalf? would this be more successful and quicker? Sorry lots of questions...but I am very frustrated and confused.

I think you answered your own question! TN visa is for RN's only, so having a company petition on your behalf is the best way to go. All of my nursing friends from college got jobs SO quickly! I wish you all the best. :thumbs:

Were these friends from Canada? Did you they go to the states to work? And if so were they LPN's or RN's? I think i've decided to head down there in a couple of months and hope I can find an employer who wants to hire a friendly Canadian :)
