hey,its been about a week now since they recieved the medical results, and a week before that that logged my packet 3.

so why on earth have we not got an interview date yet? what more do they need?

how long after they have everything should we expect to get the interview date? (the woman at the DOS when we called just advised us to 'keep checking back' with no idea of a time frame)?

Looking at recent timelines, it is taking just short of a month from sending in packet3 to receiving packet4 interview letter.

My advice is to keep checking back every day!! My fiance called the DOS last Tues, woman said our interview date was still pending. Received my packet 4 appointment letter today informing me that my interview is THIS Thurs...! So I would be prepared for incredibly short notice at the mo...

(The letter was dated last Thurs, the 10th)

So we neglected to call the DOS for 3 days and now it's a mad scramble. Think my printer/copier is about to burn out lol...

Maybe they've got a stack of folders 10 feet tall of others also waiting to interview and it takes time to work through them. Scotch is the second or third person lately who got very short notice so get ready and get organized.

if there is so little time between reciving the interview letter and the actual interview i guess it would be best to call and pay for the visa before my interview date is assigned?

it says on the website that instructions are sent with the interview letter though?

Yeah, I would pay the visa fee as soon as poss, don't wait for the interview letter...!

I called the embassy last night and the advisor told me that they received my medical results on the 4th March, and logged my packet 3 on the 9th, and he said that I will probably know my date by 30th March. I paid for the visa on 4th March too, so hopefully it won't e too long a wait until the actual interview - hopefully 3 days between being approved, that would be awesome!

We got our interview date just over two weeks from the DOS 'phone call. Two business days earlier the date had not yet been set. Seems like there's a lot of filers getting short notice.

My guess is that it's the slowdown at VSC; they're seeing fewer new cases but still cranking out the interviews, closing the gap between setting the date and the date itself.

So for new filers - mind the gap!
