If you are getting citizenship then why ask about the medical in Nigeria?

I don't know about Nigeria, but it is the smart thing to do in the Philippines. A lot of applicants wait until 2 or 3 weeks before their interview, and find out something is showing on their chest x-ray. Then they have to take the sputum test, and wait for 2 months for the culture. Then the interview has to be rescheduled.

NATURALIZATION

02/25/2014 - Eligibility date.

03/03/2014 - N-400 package mailed.

03/11/2014 - Check cashed.

03/14/2014 - NOA received.

04/09/2014 - Biometrics.

04/28/2014 - In-Line for Interview - 6 hours later Interview Scheduled!!

05/02/2014 - Interview Letter received. (Mailed on 29 April)

05/26/2014 - 3 year anniversary.

06/02/2014 - Interview. PASSED!

09/11/2014 - Oath Ceremony.

09/16/2014 - Updated driver licence and registered to vote.

10/08/2014 - Updated Social Security

10/14/2014 - Applied for U.S. Passport

10/27/2014 - U.S. Passport arrived in mail (13 days - DID NOT expedite)

10/30/2014 - Naturalization Certificate arrived in mail (was not folded)

MY IMMIGRATION JOURNEY IS OFFICIALLY FINISHED!!

The worry with the medical is how long it lasts for. Fill in your timeline so we know how far along in the process you are. You dont want the medical to expire before your interview, or you'll have to do it again.

10/12/11: Medical @ Bentnick Mansions

30/01/12: Interview @ 9am [APPROVED!!]

01/02/12: Passport with visa inside, and medical packet arrive via courier

02/03/12: Flight to Denver!

Your husband can get his medical early but if his interview takes a long time then it may affect the time he has to enter the US on the backside. For example if he has his medical today and for what ever reason the interview is delayed to December he would only get a visa that is good for travel until a year from yesterday. If you guys get AP this could also push the visa issue date out. You guys have hit every bump possible so you may want to hold off a little. I know someone that got a June date from Lagos just this week. So you usually have more than enough time. Being a doctor he could use his own hospital to self screen ( take an unofficial pre physical )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
