According to the "Appointment Package For K Visa Applicants":

You must obtain copy and original for the following documents. We will return the original documents after the interview. All documents not in English or Vietnamese must be accompanied by certified translations, which include a statement by the translator stating “Translation is accurate” and “Translator is competent to translate”. In some special cases, you may be requested to submit translations for Vietnamese documents.

That applies to all of our paperwork correct? I'm asking b/c my fiancee, who tends to pay too much attention to other people, thinks she needs to get all of her Vietnamese paperwork including original birth certificate, criminal record ect translated to English. I think this is unnecessary, so who's right?

Your fiance needs to pay a little more attention to the instructions on the packets then what she hears from others :)

If the documentation is in Vietnamese then it is just fine.
