Hi all.

Once again, I need your help!!

Three questions:

1) Can I mail the AOS AND EAD in together in ONE SINGLE package? <-- related to my Qustion 3 below.

2) Must I get my fiance's Spanish Birth Certificate Translated into English, or is this "optional"? If translated, must I got to a certified translator and show that the resulting English translation is by a certificated translator??

3) WHERE exactly do we mail the entire package to??

I live in Colorado, on page 7 of the I-765 (EAD) instructions, it says mail the EAD to the USCIS office in Lincoln, NE. However, on the Direct Mail Instructions page for I-485 (AOS), it says to mail the APS to the Chicago Lockbox Facility. So which of these two places do I mail my AOS+EAD package to??

Please share your advise. We really appreciate all of your help, without which we would not have come so far!! ;-)

Thanks,

Ellen and Reybel

Read the instructions that come with the I-485. Read any updates on the USCIS site where you download the forms...

They will tell you exactly where to send them and translation requirements.

Yes...you can apply for both at the same time.

Read the instructions, FAQs etc, and then ask questions if there is something that you dont understand.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

1.) Yes.

2.) Yes, you must. No, it is not optional.

3.) They both go to the lockbox facility. You only file at your local office if you file your EAD *after* filing your AOS. If you file them together, they both go to the Chicago lock box.
