I CAME IN ON A K-3 VISA FROM INDIA AND AM NOW LIVING WITH MY WIFE WHO IS PUTTING ME CONSTANTLY ON HUNGER ANYTIME WE HAD AN MISUNDERSTANDING. I CAN'T WORK NOW SINCE AM YET TO APPLY FOR MY EAD. SHE PUSH ME AWAY FROM THE BED AND MAKE ME SLEEP ON THE FLOOR, LOCKS ME OUTSIDE THE HOUSE THAT I HAD TO CALL THE FATHER FOR RESCUE. EVERYBODY TELLS HER THIS IS WRONG THE TREAT ME. I CAN'T TOUCH ANYTHING IN THE HOUSE, THE TV IS LOCKED, COMPUTER DISCONNECT AND CAN'T COMMUNICATE WITH MY FAMILY ABROAD. ISN'T THIS AN ABUSE ON ME AND WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Sounds like abuse to me. She is suppose to be supporting you and then doesnt feed you? This is abuse and you should probably call the police or Adult protective services. If she brought you here just to abuse you, you should talk to a lawyer and see what you can do about getting half of everything she owns and getting alimony then go back to your home so you can be close to your family that loves you.

well since u called the cops i am pretty sure they have it on file or record.. a friend of mine had some problems too and when the cops came they asked her if she wants to get out of that house cuz its not save etc.. but she stood and everything worked out for them.. anyways they are alot of places where u can go and they help you here in america.. she can get ALOT of troble for doing this.. but you need to open youre mouth and tell everything to the cops.. good luck

Yes, of course you can file the I-360 without the aid of an attorney, and if funds don't permit, that's what you must do. However, if there is a chance that you can make it to a local Catholic Charities, to get some help in preparing it, you would better serve yourself, and your chances. Don't be reluctant to contact them despite the fact that the name suggests a certain orientation in faith, they provide guidance to immigrants and aliens that fall into immigration difficulties. Look that organisation up in the telephone book.

Right now you need to spend the next week or so to collect evidence. Also have a look on the http://www.uscis.gov web site for the form I-360 itself, read the instructions on the statement that is required and see what , if anything, you have in order to prepare that petition, and then return with questions, here if necessary. You will need proof of her controlling behaviour. Do you have any contact with neighbours, or her family that might be inclined to write Affidavits that you could attach to your petition? Contact the local police department for a copy of the complaint from the other day, for a start, although that might have been upsetting, in terms of abuse it appears rather a benign incident to place your entire case upon. Call a local human services centre in your area, and if nothing else, speak to someone on the help line about your emotional state and the fact that you are locked in the house without access to outside, food etc. Get the phone calls, or visits, if you can manage that, documented so that you can provide records of that with your petition.

In the meantime, try to gather whatever evidence you can and try if at all possible to have anyone that witnesses any incidents prepared to supply corroboration. Good luck and check in with us again, soon.

Some people take their entertainment from jerking other people's chains and watching how they react. Every message board has at least one poster like that. Pick any one at random and you will find threads where the troll posted something, usually a complete fabrication, designed to provoke an impassioned response and sat back and laughed as the regular members go on and on discussing it, usually descending into a flame war.

Not saying this is a case of trolling, but that is what trolling is in a nutshell.

The more evidence the OP has, The better, I would in your position right now keep an incident log of abuse and apply for VAWA, You said that the police will have a record of an account, Keep the time, date or even the officers name, This is mental abuse, And no MAN or WOMAN should put up with this kind of torture.

Prepare all documentations and seek an attorney if you want to stay in the US, It's hard to prove abuse if NO documentation......

Try to get in touch with one of the Indian Social Organization. Every state has one. You may get their address through Google. These organizations are mainly meant for women but they may help you too. And it is you who has to decide where you have to live and work towards your goal. So good luck buddy.
