I CAME IN ON A K-3 VISA FROM INDIA AND AM NOW LIVING WITH MY WIFE WHO IS PUTTING ME CONSTANTLY ON HUNGER ANYTIME WE HAD AN MISUNDERSTANDING. I CAN'T WORK NOW SINCE AM YET TO APPLY FOR MY EAD. SHE PUSH ME AWAY FROM THE BED AND MAKE ME SLEEP ON THE FLOOR, LOCKS ME OUTSIDE THE HOUSE THAT I HAD TO CALL THE FATHER FOR RESCUE. EVERYBODY TELLS HER THIS IS WRONG THE TREAT ME. I CAN'T TOUCH ANYTHING IN THE HOUSE, THE TV IS LOCKED, COMPUTER DISCONNECT AND CAN'T COMMUNICATE WITH MY FAMILY ABROAD. ISN'T THIS AN ABUSE ON ME AND WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Do you have greencard yet and permanent residence yet?

If so I would divorce her and move on, you could stay in the states, or return home if there is no family here to support you.

I wish you well in what ever you do.

I wonder why people go to all the trouble of a K1, or K3 visa only to behave this way, probably the locals avoided her because they could see her nature so she had to search elsewhere.

This is one of these situations addressed by the dreaded IMBRA law, it should prevent her from snaring some other unsuspecting person, at least for a while.

No motive is required. If this is a true enactment of what has been going on, he has been subjected to inhumane treatment, and it is for this very reason that VAWA was established!

dartmar, You always portray unhappy immigrants as fraudsters. Immigrants have to wait too, often spend lots of money on the process, leave behind family, friends, and jobs... Just because you got burned doesn't mean that every immigrant has ulterior motives. I wouldn't stay in the US if things didn't work out between me and my spouse, but I don't blame people who do. From the US citizen's viewpoint, all that he/she has to do if a change of mind occurs is to simply refuse to marry and eventually the alien will fall out of status and either choose to leave the country or try to adjust through a lengthy and uncertain VAWA process. Either way the US citizen is relieved somewhat of any responsibiloity that might promote him or her to be less than human towards an intended spouse.

On the otherhand, with a K-3 there is no immediate solution of a 90-day window in which the alien will be pressured to leave of his/her own will. It's quite possible that facing that, a US citizen spouse with less than honourable intentions and sensitivity to the alien spouse,. might have to resort to more aggressive measures to promote the alien to leave. All the same, it is unnecessary, undue many times and inhumane. I urge the OP to seek out some assistance.

Well, indeed, if she will co-operate then by all means he should do that so that he can prepare for self-sufficiency if it becomes essential later on. Reading this recount, it's dubious that she will simply go along with the idea. It appears she is deriving some satifaction from having ultimate control over the alien.

If I am not mistaken, if he were to file an I-360 no I-864 is required.

Perhaps I am just being very cautious in who I trust but something sounds wrong here. If this is all true...then go back home...I certainly wouldn't stay with someone like that!!!

I'm sorry to sound disbelieving or uncharitable, but his English is expert in some places and overly tortured in others. Folks with English as a second language rarely master contractions (can't, don't, wouldn't) right off the bat. It sounds contrived.
