Interview on Thurs??!!!!

I received my interview letter this morning informing me that my interview is at 10:00am this Thurs the 17th..!!! Are they kidding me??!!

Spoke to the DOS last Tues (the 8th) and they said the date was still 'pending'. Didn't call the DOS for 3 days and then look what happens!!

I have work commitments that I'm really not sure I'll be able to get out of...

Have to try and make a decision in the next couple of hours about whether I should email them and request a reschedule....

Aaarrggh don't know what to do!! :bonk:

I suppose it depends on how much and how quick you want to be with your fiance hey? As said before interviews take a while to get in UK so I suggest you go

6-24-13------Received NOA in the mail, dated 6-20-13

7-05-13------Received Biometrics Appointment letter in the mail for 7-18-13

7-18-13------Biometrics done

8-20-13------Case Transferred to CSC for further processing

8-24-13------Transfer notice arrived in the mail today

10-21-13----ROC Approved!

10-25-13----Received approval letter in the mail

10-28-13----Production of 10 Yr Green Card ordered

11-01-13----Card has been mailed!....Received USPS tracking number

11-04-13----10yr Green Card arrived in the mail today....Yay!!

Call in sick and get your interview done. Not that I'm advocating telling a lie to get out of work but you may be hypothetically ill if you regret not taking that interview! :wacko:

That's awesome to hear. I agree, if your wedding date is in the next couple of months, just go on the interview, you'll be handing your notice in soon anyway.

29/03/2011 - K1 Interview at London Embassy - Visa granted!

Yup, I'm doing it guys..! Never been one to shy away from a challenge!

Work cancelled, megabus booked, friend's floor to sleep on.... :thumbs:

Was hoping to have a little more time to get some more pay stubs since my fiance's promotion at the start of January, but fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Can't believe it's on Thurs! Had a g&t at lunch which helped a bit.

You've made the right choice. Put yourself first. You know the misery of waiting on London. What if they didn't send you a new appointment for a month and it was for June??! You'd be a basket case. :crying:

Hey Nich-Nick, that was my feeling exactly. What if I had emailed to request another appointment date and the person that read it thought; "well they obviously don't care that much so we'll put them to the bottom of the pile"

Definitely not a risk worth taking. I would be in a real state, you're right!

We just got our interview date today (22nd March).. haven't received the formal paper yet but eeks! Very exciting!
