Hi everyone. i want to know some information regarding the nvc process.

well my dad filled an I-130 for me and my mum and our priority date is april 2009. our case is currently at NVC, we have paid the AOS fee and sent all the required documents. the DS-230 was sent on january 2011. and now its been almost more than 1 month. and when we keep calling the NVC they asked us to send an email to the supervisor. so when we sent her an email. she replied back saying"WE HAVE YOUR DOCUMENTS . AND AS SOON AS WE REVIEW THEM WE WILL NOTIFY YOU".. MY QUESTION IS HOW LONG WILL THEY TAKE TO COMPLETE OUR CASE AND APPOINT THE INTERVIEW DATE IN COLOMBO SRILANKA? anybody from srilanka who have gone through the same experience. or anyone have a idea about my question. thankz :D

F2A-refers to the subcategory of the second preference in Family-based immigration category,i.e.spouses or unmarried children under age 21 of permanent resident. Now if you are belong into this category the priority date of what they are processing now is April 1,2007.And you said your priority date is April 2009 aproximately the difference is two years before they will start processing your visa. Now if you are already married you will fall to a category of F2B married children over 21 of permanent resident, then you'll have to wait for six or more years before they process your visa.Remember priority date should be current before anything else.Goodluck!

thanks for the information matuk tuokan . im still 18. so im still in f2A category. ok so once our priority date is current they start processing our visas? so right now im at the last point where nvc have to complete the case and send it to the consular office? as the visa bulleting changes from month to month. does the people who's cases processing at nvc delay?
