I think uscis is doing racial profiling. If you take a close look at the april and may filers who have not got approved, you will find out that many of them are from china. I guess what uscis does is

I received today the approval letter dated 1-12-2012. Hope the Card will come soon so I am done with USCIS. My Letter came from local office in Jacksonville, FL.

I just got back from vacation a few days ago and my new 10 year card was in the mail. It didn't arrive before I left and I had my letter with me for the one year extension but the USCIS officer didn't even look at it when I gave it to him, just took the old green card for swiping. I guess the information is all in the system, presumably.

Not exactly sure when it came since we were away for a while but the letter was dated 12/12/11.

Good luck to all of those who are still waiting! hopefully it won't be long!

Got my approval letter today. The day was the 12th. Mine also came from my local Orlando Office. Took exactly nine months. This forum is the best and most informative. Thanks guys and dolls! To those of you who are still waiting, call and ask to speak to a level two officer (after the level one officer tells you that April 4th is currently being processed). Seems like when you speak to one, they send a nudge down the line.

The roughest part was the waiting. I noticed there weren't many RFE's for April. I think it's just a case of catching up on VSC side. If they are transferring more cases to local service centers, it may be because of their load. Once you show that you have stuffs jointly in your relationship, then it's only a matter of time. I didn't send any photographs, vacation stuffs, or tax transcripts; I sent the tax form though. So, hang in there, and make your call to the Level two Officer, then sit tight for two weeks.If your approval doesn't come from VSC, then it will be from your local center. All the best!

May 26,2009-Passed The Texas Driver's Written Exam,Got A Learner's Permit:)

June 19,2009-Interview Letter Received

July 28,2009-Interview(Irving,TX)Approved & Now Working Too:

August 13,2009-2 Years Greencard Received:

August 18,2009-Got My 7 Years Texas Driver's License(Thank GOD:))

Congratulations to all approved!

MANUELA, SOPHIE123, VAGINA_JOURNEY, FRALI, JENKA, JAKE10M, MRSROWE and GTG349N (NOA1 dates in April 2011) - have you received any further information?

I filed a S/R (1/10) and got a standard response (1/12) saying:

"“Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please contact customer service at the number provided below.”

Anyone else in the same boat? Not sure what to do. Thanks.

Green Card received yesterday. Hope all of you still waiting will have their GC soon.

No, I haven't heard anything further. It said to wait 60 days in my service request, not 6 months though. I keep running to the mailbox as soon as I get home from work every single day and I'm totally crushed when there's no letter in there :(
