First time i have seen that wording used Rocks, its normally the still under review answer as stated by Exasperated, i remember your bio was late by a month or two. Chin up and good luck.

Thanks! :)

I don't like this response. I'm slightly worried that they will actually make me wait 6 months. Not much I can do about it though.

I searched the forums and I only found one match for same the wording. It's a person waiting for their K-1, we must be on the same desk!

I would assume you have already passed the security checks as your wait time is 60 days not 6 months. Hopefully it won't be too much longer for you! :)

Thanks for the good luck wishes! I hope the same for you.

I wish I could be optimistic about the "60 day" limit in the email, but the sad thing is that this is the second service request that I submitted to the USCIS. I submitted another one back in early August which also stated the exact same 60 day message. So understandably it's hard for me to take anything they say seriously, considering it's been over 100 days since my first service request.

I am surprised your requested were actually processed. My agent said that when he tried to place a service request he received message from Vermont that my case was not outside the processing time. Apparrently my case has still 16 days ahead to cross the timeframe (even that it's been almost 7 months). I was told to call back after 16 days since today. But he also said that there is possibility that if I called tomorrow 16 days could have changed into 10, 5 or even 20 days ????? It clearly makes no sense to me so I am not going to worry about it

Wow. :o

I see now that you applied in February. Have you contacted your local representative?

Do not go thinking that, it may be due to your bio being late, i do not think they do any processing until bio is complete.

I'm sure you're right. I hate to whine about this stuff so I will stop now. :)

I have recently. I'll see if that works out. My next step is visiting the congressman's office through a walk-in appointment, if nothing can be done over the phone. I've also contacted two senators, as well as some lawyers (just informally so far, we work together in the same law firm!).

It's tempting to just apply for the N-400 and hope the I-751 just gets assimilated into that whole application so I can forget about it. At the same time I just dread the I-751 being "frozen" and being in limbo for another 4-5 months while the citizenship application is pending. Not sure how much more mental punishment I can take at this stage.

I would've go ahead applying N-400 as I don't think the pending I751 slows down the process. N-400's processing time is only 4 months now... :bonk:.

If we will apply for N-400 without the ROC being approved; we need to use/submit a copy of the old green card (expired) as part of the requirements; so is this allowed? Just asking...

Yes, you just need to copy the card as well as the receipt extending it for a year. I'd copy front + back of both just to be safe.

Todays hot topic is in the August Filers thread.... ouch!! Lol

Deire,

You're a May filer, right?

What complete and utter nonsense!

..As for deidre who has crossed over here all the way from May filers, perhaps you should exercise some discretion in stirring up a tense conversation that DarkLuck909 seemed to already backed away from. It's understandable that you were itching to sycophantically align yourself with Drogs, but picking on someone just because you disagree with them is a little bit mean-spirited.

Understandably, some frustration has built up among April filers (for the obvious reasons) and is now filtering into May and, unless VSC picks up the pace, will also seep into June, July and beyond. Some people find in this time of stress that it helps to talk about the weather; others find it helpful to do pace analysit to figure out when they can expect to see some activity; others find healing in spreading hope and positive messages online; and then there are some (like Drogs) who choose to vent from time to time. These are all very valid responses to the present situation. Picking on others is certainly not!

I wish us all the very best of luck here, and do encourage us to realise that we came from widely different backgrounds. While we will never always agree with one another, the least we can do is treat one another with respect.

It's sad how you like find enjoyment in stirring the pot.

Says a lot about about you.
