Hey Amanda, did you send ur package to the PO Box address? Mine was signed by same guy and still hasnt been cashed yet.

Give it about three business days. My package was sent to the PO Box address and arrived on April 1st, and check was cashed on April 6th.

I gathered all paperwork, pictures, just to take passport pic and I will send my package on monday, when I am off work.

I hate VSC, first time when I was there, they after couple months transfered me to CSC, and My case was finished faster.

I have a question- how are we going to stay in the country, or even work if they need 5 months to approve case. Do they need to stay in 90day frame? I meant, you cannot leave someone in the country with expired green card, and what if that person has already made some travel arrangements? Anyone familiar with that one?

Did I mention how much i hate VSC? :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

Hey ivancicas,

After you submit your application, the first thing they send is NOA letter, which will mention that your residency has been extended to 1 year. From what I understand, we're suppose to carry this piece of paper everywhere we travel in case if they question applicant's legal presence in the country.

I hear you and feel the same pain about VSC.

You mailed your package 1 day later than me. So if they follow the same path then you should see your check cashed today or Monday (depending on when your bank shows you, it will be tomorrow or Tuesday).

I hate VSC, first time when I was there, they after couple months transfered me to CSC, and My case was finished faster.

That happened with my I-485 too. I'm ever so hopeful that they will do it again with this application (because CSC is processing these much faster) but I doubt it.

I don't think we will be affected by the government shutdown, we pay fees so the department is not dependent on funding from the government. :)
