I think uscis is doing racial profiling. If you take a close look at the april and may filers who have not got approved, you will find out that many of them are from china. I guess what uscis does is

Update:

Exactly as I was expecting even thou I did put in a change of address, my greencard was delivered in 09/27 to my old address.

Luckly it was sent back to USCIS and I received an email asking me to update my adress (haven't I done that already???)

Today, October 18 I received my new green card on the mail.

Again, as I was expecting, my son's green card was not delivered, not even to the old address and we were told to wait another 30 days before

we contact USCIS.

This is really frustrating since his removal of conditions was filed along with mine, in the same application.

His first green card was lost in the mail and even thou he never received it , the USCIS had a confirmation of delivery (??)

so we were forced to pay all the fees to get him a new green card issued.

It is looking like it's happened once again and I really hope that I am wrong.

If someone can please update the status on my case, I appreciate.

:ot: We are enjoying lots of Rain :ot2: Yes i see CSC still have April filers, but i also notice the randomness all the way up to August. We have VSC not achieving the 6 month mark, and CSC just willy nilly do their own thing.

Surely it would make sense to concentrate resources on one month and achieve that than actually disregard what is stated on the NOA-1, that processing is done in the order recieved. am i just being sensible here.

Some Office managers and Senior Supervisors need butt kicking and to start taking control.

Just looked at the VSC processing times on the USCIS website, and it they now list Feb 24th 2011 as the date they are processing and not 6 months. It appears that us April filers are going to be in for a longer wait!! :whistle:

:ot: We finally had some rain, it was awesome. Now it is a pretty chilly 63f but at least this means the power bill will be cheaper! :)

:ot2: What I am confused by is what takes longer for one case than other? They read the paperwork, look at the evidence, do the FBI check, look at your biometrics... Surely this takes the same for everyone? Give or take a few hours depending on how much evidence you sent :devil:

My husband filed in April in Vermont Service Center, and like the rest of you, has not yet received his new green card. We are currently in the process of buying a house and we close next week. I suddenly started freaking out about this affecting our ability to close. Has anyone shown their foreign passport + expired green card + extension letter for something as big as this without a problem? Or does anyone have any experience/advice they can share? Thanks in advance.

your husband is an LPR and is in process to get his 10yr green card. his IDs are as valid as yours. i dont think you need to be freaking out, you just need to be ready to answer other people's questions (because they arent immigration-savvy like VJers are!)
