Can we send application for citizenship that soon? As soon as I am eligible for application I am going to do that. I am not going to wait couple years. Get over with all the paperwork. :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes:

I think uscis is doing racial profiling. If you take a close look at the april and may filers who have not got approved, you will find out that many of them are from china. I guess what uscis does is

Yes, there is a very logical reason. Vermont has more local offices than California. 42 vs 39. Vermont also processes applications from more big cities than California does.

Just be thankful New Orleans isn't your local office.

Why are you so worried anyway? You have an extension of your status until July 2012.

I agree Rocks, 6 months is the processing timeline, if it takes that long then they have met the goal set, why get all upset because because it was not processed yesterday, or i am ahead of these people in the queue, why have they been processed and not ME.

Rocks, I am between two jobs and not all the people in HRs understand why my Gc is expired and if it means that after a year I will not be bale to work for that company. I am a little tired of giving explanations. :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: :wacko:

That stinks! Good thing my work is not bothering me. I'm sure you will get your GC before your extension expires, at least we know it should and let's keep our fingers crossed til we finally get them in our hands. Then it's gonna be N400 time. After than you wont have to keep explaining to them. Don't worry, we will get there! :yes:

yep, if you're married you can file after three years of living here. you apply three months before three years on your greencard, so that would be april. if your greencard still hasn't been approved by that date the naturalization application will move the application along as they cannot process the naturalization paperwork until the greencard has been approved.

yep, if you're married you can file after three years of living here. you apply three months before three years on your greencard, so that would be april. if your greencard still hasn't been approved by that date the naturalization application will move the application along as they cannot process the naturalization paperwork until the greencard has been approved.

Remember you need to add the amount of time you have been out of the country as part of the naturalization process. Meaning in the last three years, if you have left the US for 1 month, your 90 day window to apply for citizenship begins 1 month later than it normally would.

Why are you so worried about it? You have an extension for a year. The timeline is around 6-7 months, it isn't going to arrive before then. It will happen soon enough. :)
