hahaha... USCIS is so funny, just got an email saying "Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity" got approved a few weeks back... with AOS I got an email over a year after I got approved that it's under review.

WHy csc cases processed in Detroit?

CSC sends the application back to the local offices where the applicants are from so in this case, the OP is from Detroit, and CSC sent the application back to the Detroit local office and the local office adjudicated the OP's case.

I have heard of this before, but I never came accross.....

I just checked our Notice of Action.

We got the email 08/23/2011 and on Saturday via mail the Notice of Action came, but that is dated 08/22/2011 and it is from the USCIS office in Jacksonville. I guess VSC is also sending the files to the local offices.

We got the card today! It is green!

Next step the card for the kids (long story), I guess I need to call them and ask what happened to them.

In December N-400! Then we are finally done!

I don't know about you but since Tropical Storm Lee has gone the weather has been lovely and cool. It ruined the Labor Day weekend but now it is lovely and sunny and in the mid 80's. :):dance:

Hello all!

It has been quite a while and I thought I would keep everyone posted on my status as there may be someone else going through the same situation I am.

I originally sent my package in April and I had it sent back to me because I filed too early :blink: ( a month earlier to be precise).

So I waited another month and had the package sent back in on May 2nd which technically makes me a May filer but I like to think I'm an April filer anyways :yes: .

I received the letter with the biometrics appointment on May 22nd and had the biometrics done on June 13th.

Meanwhile, we bought a house and moved from our old address into our new home on the weekend of July 16th.

I updated my address at the USCIS website and am still waiting for my case to be approved.:whistle:

My current case status on the website is "Under initial review" and my main concern is that they mistakenly have my gc sent to the old address or that it gets lost in the mail (I had this happen before with my son's first issued gc).

Well, guess this is all for now and I would like to please ask for my case status to be updated on the April's filers list.

2009-02-27: AOS package sent

2009-03-02: AOS package received at CIS Office

2009-03-13: NOA1 received

2009-16-03; Biometrics Appointment letter received

2009-04-09: Biometrics

2009-05-01: EAD received

2009-06-16: Interview letter returned undeliverable

2009-06-22: Called URSCIS to request letter to be resent

2009-07-02: Interview letter received

2009-07-30: Interview @ 8:00am ' APPROVED - CARD ORDERED'

2009-08-12; Green card received!
