This is a grown up conversation!

So I have noticed that some fiance' visa applicants are asked about having sex with their partners and are asked to produce intimate photos. While some folks do have sex, others think its bad form to have sex before marriage. This doesn't seem to vary by nation but more perhaps by religious proclivity.

How can consular officers ask about or expect that those of us in Fiance' relationships will have had sex???

And honestly my sex life is none of their business, but I'll answer the questions if it gets my fiance here. I think it borders on cruel and unusual punishment.

I've never heard of them asking for photos of it.......that would be very weird and probably illegal.

Maybe your thinking of Stokes interviews? where they ask for every little detail about things?

My interview will be in Haiti in hopefully a few weeks. I've heard of folks being asked for photos of themselves kissing (which i do have) but if they can't produce those to come back with their fiance for a second interview. Also a case in the Dominican Republic, also higher fraud like Haiti, where they were asked in interrogation when was the first time they had sex, and also the last time they had sex.. for a fiance visa.

My other issue barring lack of evidence is the travel issue: I'm willing to travel to Haiti, despite the inconvenience and expense if i have to, but even the DOS has a travel warning so I don't understand how they can ask the USC to arrive to a nation that has a travel warning.

I've heard of them asking in high fraud consulates, and at Stokes interviews. Usually it is slightly more innocent stuff such as "which side of the bed does she sleep on?" Or "what time did you two get up this morning", but I remember a case on here where the couple was asked at a K1 interview (2nd interview) whether they had had sex and the foreign fiancee, being modest, said No, whereas the USC male admitted the truth, and they got denied.

Never heard of them asking for intimate or kissing photos, I would agree that goes too far; they do ask of photos of the two of you together, and with friends/ family. Not sure I'd have any photos of us kissing other than at the wedding ceremony! We tend to be modest, not much into public signs of affection...

Whoever told you that they will ask for intimate photos misled you. They can't ask for those pictures because then it crosses the line from evidence to Pornography which is very illegal. If any officer asks you for private moment photos, report him/her immidiately because they are perverts and want to use those pictures for something other than your case. No Government agency will ask for nude pictures. Just doesn't make any sense.

Not nude photos but photos that show kissing or intimacy apart from your standard "lets take a photo in front of the empire state building" type of thing. I'm just worried that I'm going to get screwed at the consulate because they ask for unreasonable things. I also don't want my fiance to get angry if the officer asks about sex or something because that won't go well at all.

Is your interview in Haiti or the DR? No one has been asked for pictures of thwm having sex, that is just hear say. The sex question is only asked of maerried couples, so they should be able to answer that question hostely.

I'm not sure where you heard that the consular officers ask you about sex, but I've certainly never heard of that. There are are couples who are waiting for marriage to have sex who are very much in love and in this process for the right reasons and there are couples in which the beneficiary lies to the USC and uses them for a green card but has sex with them anyway.

On top of being completely boundary-crossing and creepy, it's irrelevant to what the interviewers are supposed to be looking for. Asking for photos is a whole 'nother level of creep and if it actually happened to anyone I would strongly recommend escalating the situation, but I really think whoever told you this may have been messing with you.

So I have noticed that some fiance' visa applicants are asked about having sex with their partners and are asked to produce intimate photos.

Okay, yes, I've heard about this on these forums as well but it was always and only in one context: a high fraud country, the request for a second/follow up interview, and a doubt about the legitimacy of the relationship - very rarely, a couple is interviewed (more like interrogated) separately because of a high suspicion of fraud and after a whole lot of questioning, the officer may ask about sexual habits. This is quite unusual and I really wouldn't worry about it unless you AND your SO are requested to come back for a second interview.

In terms of intimate photos, I have always assumed at least one of the pictures submitted with our file should show evidence of some affection (an arm around my shoulder, for example) but these are not required because there will always be people for whom such contact could be inappropriate or its public demonstration is not acceptable.

In any case, the K1 and CR1/IR1 visa decisions don't usually hinge on the amount of evidence of romantic contact you can provide...
