since my fiancee and I are not together right now, it's hard to provide such evidence, like joint ownership or property. I know it's not possible to open a joint banking account in US since it requires signatures from both parties.

Any suggestions? thanks!

not that it matters a great deal but I also put my husband as beneficiary on my bank accounts and my stocks and bonds...even tho he can't be a "Joint Owner" the statements come with both our names on them.

If its your fiance you won't have proof of a marriage, because you are not yet married. Proof of an ongoing relationship is what they want. Joint banking and ownership of property is somewhat jumping the gun.

Phone records, photos, emails, stamped passports, etc are good enough for proof of an ongoing fiance relationship.

Your fiancée? If you filed a spousal visa for a fiancée you might have a problem! Have to be married to file for a spouse and have bonifide marriage evidence!

I'm thinking the OP was wanting to know past the wedding date, ie......invitations, affidavits from witnesses to the wedding, plane tickets, photos from the ceremony....ect. Close to right???

Add your wife (wife to be if you are not married yet) as an authorized user to your credit cards. Don't know if that will help any but it definitely can't hurt.

Yes, marry your fiancee, then provide a Notarial Translation of the marriage certificate from the local Gong Zheng Chu, some photos, passport stamps indicating the time you entered and exited China and some evidence of how and how frequently you communicate. Forget about affidavits from friends and relatives. I doubt any are intimately acquainted with your relationship. Newlyweds are not expected to have most of the optional evidence mentioned after the words "in addition to the required" on the I-130 instructions.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

suggest you not start this 'financial proof' accumulation until AFTER you two are actually married.

Things you can gather PRIOR to marriage - correspondence, emails, trip photos, trip receipts, ticket stubs, and that's about it.

'evidence of bonafide marriage' is for married people - not for fiances. Don't jump the gun here, you'll drive yerself batty.

Forget about affidavits from friends and relatives.

I disagree. I recently received an RFE cause apperantly I did not show a bonafide marriage although I had sent many pictures and boarding passes from several trips that my wife and I made. I had sent my phone bill showing hours and hours of talking between us, bill from a honeymoon cruise and like I said many pictures. I still got an RFE. In response to the RFE, I believe the 3 affidavit letters that I sent made the difference. It doesn't hurt to get a couple of notarized letters.

08-06-10: Package delivered in Chicago (Received Date) (Priority Date)

08-18-2010: NOA1 (Notice Date) Received text & email with case number, Check Cashed
