Hello,

I did my biometrics early january, had to move in emergency ( our house had a major leak which was making the whole house unsafe) and I cannot find my notice ( with the stamps ) what should I do? Is it really bad????

No, don't worry. You did your biometrics, and all you lost was the "proof" it had been done. In most cases, this "proof" is not needed, because USCIS knows it was done and it shows in their system. Worst case, if they lose your prints (whether or not you have the proof really) then you will have another bio appointment. Not a big deal, and it probably won't happen anyway. Relax and good luck!

Hiya,

no, nothing to worry about here, have you received your EAD after the fingerprints and still have it that's the only thing they ask for at the interview, and even if you don't have it anymore, you could testify that during the disaster these documents were unable to be recovered.

You need to bring the EAD that is correct, but I guess they don't need to have anything regarding the biometrics appointment as at the time you do give fingerprints, take your photo they scan in the barcode on the invitation. Making it available to anyone working on applications at USCIS.

I just noticed you also asked about the NOAs - same thing, they have it in their system when they send you what and it's more of a receipt for US applicants anyway so no need to provide them at the interview - if you have them go ahead bring them along, won't hurt (I brought my several cm thick folder to the interview with anything regarding the AOS) but again, if you lost something in the flooding, you and your hubby can swear that it was lost and or damaged.

p.s. they are supposed to take the EAD card from you at the end of the interview when you got approved, even if they don't tell you that you are. Why, as the greencard is the universal card that gives you the right to stay here, work here and all that other good stuff. Can be confusing though, like in my case when the IO gave me the card back to me at the end of the interview. yet she educated me about how long it normally takes to get the green card in the mail if approved, when to file for infopass if no updates and how to do the ROC process...

Our IO didn't even ask to see his EAD card. And didn't ask for any other documents we'd received from USCIS. Relax! and Good luck on your interview. Hope you get your notice soon!!
