NEED HELP on I-485 Question #11

I sent in my AOS app (I-130 and I-485) in December 2010. However, I am getting worried about question #11 on I-485:

Have you ever been a J nonimmigrant exchange visitor who was subject to the 2-year foreign residence requirement and have not yet compiled with that requirement or obtained a waiver?

I answered NO.

I was on a J-1 visa back in 98-99; however, I DID complete a 2 year requirement. Not all at once, but sporadically during my summer vacations from school when I got on F-1. Also, I went back home for a summer vacation in 07 and stayed there for 13 months straight to work. As a result, I completed a 2 year requirement.

Does this mean that I should not freak out about answering "No"? Or should I send them some kind of letter explaining my situation before the interview? Do not want any problems at the interview or anything to slow down my process.

Let me know your advice, PLEASE!

Hi!

I am not sure if the 2 year requirement asks for spending two years in a row or it can be fulfilled by adding months spent sporadically in the native country. Anyway, if you have an interview, you might be asked to bring proofs of the 2 years spent in your country, like receipts, work contracts, apartment/house lease, etc.

2-7-11 - Day 0 -sent AOS package (concurrent filling)
