I was surfing online, and came upon some pages that said the Bangkok Embassy does not accept Co Sponsors For The K1 Visa. Is That true as well for Chiang Mai?

The criteria is the same no matter what building a person is in. To interview in C M she has to reside in that area. All others must use BKK.

In two cases I know of the use of co sponsors was allowed. In general they are not allowed. If you have support problems you may want to consider marrying in Thaland. That would allow you to petition for a C R 1 where cosponsors are accepted.

Nope. All K visas are processed in BKK regardless of where you live in the country.

So even though a person lives in Chiang Mai, the interview would be in BKK?

Correct. The K1 has immigrant intent so BKK is the place.
