hi vjers!

i just wanna ask who among you here are from north carolina? i just wanna know your aos journey.. how long it took you to get greencard? i'm so stressed.. really.. ;(

north carolina

march 9, 2011 - sent aos package to chicago lockbox

march 10, 2011-received by chicago lockbox

march 14, 2011- noa 1 date( I-765, I-131, I-485, I-130)

march 18, 2011- noa for biometrics appointment for april 8, 2011

april 8, 2011- biometric appointment

april 21, 2011- received interview letter. date may 23.

april 27, 2011- online status- card/document production :) :) :)

may 5, 2011- received employment authorization card! :)

may6, 2011- applied for ssn

may 12, 2011- ss card received in mail

may 23, 2011- interview -APPROVED! / card production

may 31, 2011- greencard received

2-7-11 - Day 0 -sent AOS package (concurrent filling)

2-11-11-Day 4 - received text message from USCIS with the receipt number

2-18-2011 - Day 11[/font]- received NOA 1 in mail for I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131

2-22-2011 -Day 15- received biometrics letter -appt March 14

3-10-2011- still cannot see case online although I called USCIS two days ago

3-14-2011- Day 35- Biometrics done on the appointment day

3-24-2011-Day 45-case showing up online!!!! USCIS mailed on 3-23 my interview appt letter- April 26 is the day!

3-26-2011-Day 48-Received interview appt letter

4-1-2011-Day 59- USCIS mailed I-131 approval and ordered production of my new card (I assume the combined EAD/AP)

4-11-2012-Day 69- received EAd&AP combo in mail! Bad picture!

4-26-2011-Day 84-APPROVED!!! Card production ordered!

4-30-2011-Day 88-Welcome to America letter received

5-4-2011-Day 92 - received green card in mail (8 days after the interview) - it is kinda green!!!!

there's nothing to worry about if your marriage is legit and you have enough evidence. even if you don't have enormous amount of evidence, you'd receive RFEs and eventually case will be approved.

as far as timeline goes. well current AOS estimate is 3-4 months max!. although I've seen people getting their gc's in as little as from 3 months to 6 months. I doubt where you live has any effect on this, since there are couple service centers (not in every state) and most papers goes to Chicago lock box first.

also please fill your timeline so people can help you better

THANKS..coz actually, i'm a b2 overstay since last year.. i'm kinda afraid uscis would deny my application.. i just got married last month..

It is. Depending on where you live, your interview could be very fast or take longer. Your overstay is forgiven when you marry a USC and file an application to adjust your AOS

02/11/2012 (Day ***) Service request..Told its being reviewed by supervisor

24th March 2012!!!!!!!!!!! Email notifiying me of CARD IN PRODUCTION
03/26/2012 (Day 376) Emails confirming that my I-130 and I-485 have been approved.

4/2/2012 Green Card In Hand!

Unbelievable that my journey took this long but Im thankful

Next Stop Premed...Yup!

3/24/2014 Application for conditions to be removed

9/22/2014 APPROVED without interview.
