yep, wanna clear up some confusion, but then again, isnt that why we all are here?

OK, so I posted my AOS and EAD application, sent it all to Chicago, as this is what all the files told me...

Now I do kinda wonder whether this is were my files will remain or whether they will get forwarded to the NSC...

I checked out USCIS and noticed on their timelines that NSC does process both AOS & EAD and since I am in Lincoln, NE I figured they might be forwarded there for processing....

I guess its wishful thinking.... but still....

This whole thing is due to checking the timelines and seeing that Chicago seems to take a whopping 1.5 years to process AOS applications....is this for real??

Whilst NSC takes under 8 months for an AOS and currently only 1.5 months for an EAD.

So guys hope you can clear up the mystery for me....

And in meantime, does my NOA count as me being here officially? And if Chicago is in charge of my AOS and it does take them 1.5 years, does this mean my EAD will take as long too and I will for all this time be unable to work?

Thanks in advance

Sheridan x

Filed: Timeline

Everything is filed to the chicago lockbox... this is the collection center for the NBC... they will do initial processing on your AOS then it will be forwarded to your local office when it is time for your interview...

Your EAD and AP if you applied for them... will be processed by NBS in Massouri...

Hope this helps

Kezzie
