Even though we filed AR-11 online and via snail mail too, and also sponsor's change of address, USCIS still sent a notice reminding us to file removal of conditions to the OLD address. I called up USCIS today and the guy said they can't verify current address over the phone. Instead he told me to make an appointment at the local CIS office.

If this happened to you, do you think it'd be okay to just ask for a change of address over the phone? Or do we go make the appointment?

The same happened to us.

In the I-751 package, I will be clearly indicating the new address, copy of the AR-11 and I-865, and mention that they sent the ROC reminder to the wrong address.

We changed our address on line & by phone twice with no problems. You dont need to go to the USCIS office. If you decide to do that make the appointment by using USCIS web site where you will find INFO PASS link.

Same thing happened to me. They sent the green card to my old address even though I filed AR-11 AND called them. Thankfully it was my father's house. Gotta love the govt.

Everybody that has moved had their reminder sent to the old address. Don't worry about it. You've done what you needed to do for USCIS. Just file your new forms using your current address and your NOA and extension letter will come to your current address.

Same thing over here...

I called and they told me that when I changed my address I didn't have any applications being process so they didn't send a replay.

I was also told to submit my new paperwork with the new address and that's it (I did this and my NOA and Bio app was sent to my new address)

That if I had more issues I could schedule an info pass app

Thank you! That's reassuring. Well, I really don't want to drive all the way to the CIS office given the weather and our baby still quite young.

We will file with our new address to the Service Center for our State. Should we call and change address over the phone too or just go ahead and file? I'm just making sure because I know there's a 10-day window to file AR-11 so I don't want issues if we change over the phone now.

Just file your papers and forget the address change. You've already done that and met the requirements to inform them.

I would just file your papers and move on - BUT CHANGE YOUR USPS ADDRESS!!! It's super easy (we just did it) and they re-route all mail for you from your old address to your new address for a year. You can do it here on the USPS site: https://moversguide.usps.com/icoa/icoa-main-flow.do?execution=e1s1 That will make sure even if USCIS doesn't have your address right, you'll know, but you'll still get your paperwork.

Good luck!

Yeah. We did this when we moved. USPS was quick. They forwarded old mail and updated our info. :) Will check again to be sure.
