It's a requirement for your your Filipina fiancee. If you are the USC, you are not required to submit CEMAR/CENOMAR.

Yes, the beneficiary may be required to present the CEMAR at the interview. Please see my post in this thread --> http://www.visajourn..._1#entry4513152 for a clear explanation of the CEMAR and how it differs from the CENOMAR. Also, note the the CEMAR and the Marriage Certificate are *NOT* the same thing.

Married persons are issued a Certificate of Marriage from the NSO. You MAY also need to obtain a CRS FORM 5 - ADVISORY ON MARRIAGES from the NSO. This is being called a CEMAR throughout VJ, and only adds to the confusion factor. In order to avoid confusion just call it FORM 5 or ADMAR.

So is the CEMAR a certificate of marriage from the NSO or something entirely different? When my wife goes to the nso she will ask for a marriage certificate and a CEMAR?

, you're right. I'll try to rephrase my answers concerning "CEMARs" in the future in order to cut down on the confusion. I'd hoped that uploading a sample here on VJ would do that, but is seems that most visitors have a difficult time finding the sample docus and the wiki guides. I know it took me a while before I figured out they were there.
