Hi,

We are getting married on april 21st and then i will be applying for the AOS and EAD straight away.On average how long does one wait before they get their interview for the EAD. My USCIS is vermont.

I intend getting a temp EAD once we are married and hopefully i will have the EAD before it expires.

There is no interview. Takes on average between 60-90 days since receipt by USCIS, 60 being on the optymistic side. You can also check timeline data on this site.

It takes about 60 to 90 days+ to get the EAD from when you receive the NOA...

you say you are going to get a temp ead after you get married???? where from???

The only Temp EAD is available from some POE but not all and is only valid for 90 days from arrival...

there's not much point getting the temporary EAD to be honest...it will most probably expire before you get the actual EAD and that will mean you'll have to quit your job.

Mine took nearly 3 months. I'd err on the side of the 90 rather than 60 days.

I read in other forum that if you have a common last name no need for you to apply EAD coz it waste of time bcoz your green card will approved first.

I have a common last name and i applied my EAD and i got NOA but no appointment for bio, i guess i will wait till i get my green card but i really hope that i will receive EAD coz i really really want to work now.
