Sealed envelope to be shown at POE

my fiance's flight to US is tonight....when God willing, he arrives to NY and is at immigration, he has to give them the sealed envelope, do they give it back to him after looking at it? does he get asked questions? what's the story??

They will take it, he can keep the Xray if he has it. He'll probably be asked general questions to verify info, maybe about when you are getting married, etc. Nothing much really.

they keep the envelope; i was asked how did we meet?; what does he do?; when will we get married?;what do i want to do after we get married?; do i have kids?; will my parents come to US to attend the wedding?

He just needs to bring his travel documents (Passport, K1 Visa, Medical records, etc). At Customs, they ask for his K1 Visa and Sealed envelope. They will probably ask him a few questions about the 2 of you. Make sure he knows the law...that you 2 must be married within 90 days of him arriving then once you are married you must Adjust Status. They always ask that question.
