My boyfriend has a few tickets for driving after revocation. He has a mandatory court date on the 23rd of this month. But last night on his way home...He got pulled over for it again, and has a DUI now as well. He has a permanent resident card, and a social security card. But could he get deported? If so, what can I do to help prevent it?? PLEASE HELP I am soo scared...I love him.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

DUI is not a crime involving moral turpitude, so he shouldn't be deported for it. There have been some cases of immigrants being deported after a drunk driving arrest, but those cases almost always involve a collision and injury where the injury results in a charge of felony assault with a motor vehicle.
