The filibuster is allowed by Senate rules. It isn't abuse at all. The WI didn't do anything illegal?

I guess that is why they are being fined $100 per day and had the state police sent to collect them if found in the state.

Were the fines an indication of an illegality? I thought the police were sent to 'compel' them. An illegal action + police 'collection' (arrest) would indeed imply a broken law. I don't think that was the case.

The constitution of the state said that can be done. The mechanism was chosen, not invented. It does not matter, the unions lost. The law will not be overturned and there will be no recalls. This is just the first of many states that will right the wrong of public union collective bargaining. It should have never been allowed in the first place. This is just putting things right and the unions cannot change what is happening. The era of public sector unions will soon be over.

They do the same thing as the WI Senators that left - and have done that for the last two years. Block the legislative process by any available means. It's courageous and right when the GOP does it but it's wrong and cowardly when the Democrats do it. Excellent!

Which legislative process got blocked in Wisconsin? Maybe the Dems in the US Senate should all take a powder also?
