Hello All,

I received a RFE via mail on 3/8/2011. I gathered all of the requested evidence and mailed it back to them on 3/9/2011. I just received notification that they have received it and may take up to 60 days before issuing a decision. :( Does it really take 60 days or does it take a couple of weeks? What are your experiences?

Thanks.

I got confirmation that my RFE was received the morning of March 3rd, and got approval the evening of March 7th. I think mine was particularly fast though. I had my congresswoman working on it, and I think that helped a lot. Her minions were making sure that my petition didn't get lost in the mix.

Ours also didn't take 60 days - we "only" lost about 3 weeks in total from the time of the RFE notice to the NOA2 notice (it was a very minor issue).

I got the RFE on March 1, and sent my evidence the next day, and they acknowledged its receipt on the website on March 3, and I got approved on March 7, without any help from Congress or anybody. I was also worried about the 60 days, but for me it was only a week. If it takes more than 2 weeks give them a call and inquire what's going on.

I've updated my timeline to aid VJ users, please update yours if you haven't :-)

Paul22,

Nothing was marked on our RFE, but my fiance was verbally told everything was fine...just need more pictures. I posted a reply back to the Consulate that I didn't have any other pictures and about three weeks later an approval letter was sent to my Fiance. Would have been two weeks, but they sent it to an old address and a friend had to forward it.

Good Luck,

Rictodd
