My name is HIT at NBI maybe someone is same as my name who has a criminal record....i have to wait again till March 16, can i submit the POLICE CLEARANCE only at NVC so it wont delay my DS-230? or do i need to submit them both? thank you so much

You must submit the original NBI clearance with your DS-230 package.

NATURALIZATION

02/25/2014 - Eligibility date.

03/03/2014 - N-400 package mailed.

03/11/2014 - Check cashed.

03/14/2014 - NOA received.

04/09/2014 - Biometrics.

04/28/2014 - In-Line for Interview - 6 hours later Interview Scheduled!!

05/02/2014 - Interview Letter received. (Mailed on 29 April)

05/26/2014 - 3 year anniversary.

06/02/2014 - Interview. PASSED!

09/11/2014 - Oath Ceremony.

09/16/2014 - Updated driver licence and registered to vote.

10/08/2014 - Updated Social Security

10/14/2014 - Applied for U.S. Passport

10/27/2014 - U.S. Passport arrived in mail (13 days - DID NOT expedite)

10/30/2014 - Naturalization Certificate arrived in mail (was not folded)

MY IMMIGRATION JOURNEY IS OFFICIALLY FINISHED!!

My wife is on her way now for the sputum smear results. Hope it is negative. But, still has to wait the 2 months for the culture. Hope we can have interview in May, but probably June. Oh well, waited this long. Another couple of months is a piece of cake.

what is sputum smear test? our journey is really hard but i know in time we will all be fine and we all be with our love ones...god bless us always

My name was hit! They told me to come back after 15 days and when I came back they interviewed me, still I need to get a RTC clearance from Manila cause the one with the same name as me is Wanted for opium possession. (What a luck huh?)

I'm currently in Cebu and applied for NBI in Cebu but since I was born in Manila and the woman with the same name as mine is also from Manila they required me to get a clearance from Manila RTC. I already called my aunt to get it for me since I can't leave Cebu right now due to my work.

If NBI Cebu will give me a hard time then I got no choice but to go back to Manila and also have an early medical.

Oh well! First time I got hit! and it so freakin bad.

Thats good Pat! It would probably easy if I just applied in the main office in caloocan city. anyway we are still waiting for the IRS transcripts so I still have time on this NBI sh*t.

Yeah, this visa journey could be very stressful. But then I think it is better than still waiting for NOA2 approval.
