Morning All,

I called again to the USCIS yesterday and once again was told they were still processing applications for August 21.

I stated that I had a service request to look into and the agent said this was impossible as I still had 24 more days to wait before would could be issued. I quoted the agent name and agent number and she transferred me to the tier 2 immigration officer. Who stated the same thing as the first neither would take look into the service request and said call back after the 24 days.

This is such a merry go round of bullshit and lies it is ridiculously frustrating.

I heard this same date the first time I called around the 14th of February.

I know it may do little good to call and write and each time I do it seems to be just as frustrating as watching the web site update satying at October 3, 2010.

Yes I know we are mnot the only types being filed and yes I see others that have a longer wait. I see some that have a RFE or two on their file.

At this point an RFE would be an improvement

Try this:

then select options you like (visa type, center etc), and submit.

This is another good view (for vermont, with link to california):

http://cse.ssl.berkeley.edu/igor/vjdata/vsc.aspx

just play around with the stats, there is a lot of views there (as a former data analyst, I just couldn't resist :)

Thanks. I love data too. I just can't figure out how to get to that second view by myself though.

Also, to others, I know I won't be able to talk to the officer who has my case. I would pretty much kill to talk to them because I have a running script in my head of what I would say, but hey, a person can dream! I'm just hoping that of the 4 letters I send, just one has an effect. And if I had advice to give to others, I would say to put out multiple requests for help at once...because the second you get a "wait another 30 days" from USCIS you just have to do that. But if you get the ball rolling from multiple avanues at once, and have multiple people calling on your behalf, then you aren't as stuck. That's my theory anyway.

I know others have had it worse than me - the world is full of awfulness and unfairness. But this is just an attempt to do something rather than sitting around and I thought I would share. Thanks so much for the support.

Hey all, just wanted to give a little update on my "4 letter" ambush. THANKS everyone for all the words of support. If anything, this shows that at minimum, contacting Congresspeople helps you know a little more what is going on behind the scenes...

I sent the letters very early Saturday morning.

On Monday afternoon, I called Senator #1 and my Congressman's office. Senator #1's office said they were too busy to deal with my case til next week (there's some staff turnover, it sounds like, and they mentioned Japan). My Congressman's office was very nice and sent a request to the VSC right away.

On Tuesday afternoon, I got an email from my Congressman's office that my case was getting "expeditious handling" and that it would be approved "shortly." I was very excited, but also worried that meant another 10, 20, 30 days.

Today (Thursday), I got a letter from Senator #2's office. They said they inquired into my case and got a response from VSC saying that my Congressman's office had already made an inquiry. Then they quoted the correspondence with the VSC and it said "Please look for final action on this case, or another notice of action to be issued, WITHIN 3 BUSINESS DAYS." (Italics and bold are mine).

!! Needless to say, I am on the edge of my seat. It has already been 48 hours since that happened. If they are good for their word, I will hear before the weekend. They've never been good for their word before, but I AM HOPING!!!!!
