US Consulate Delay 1 to 2 years on processing?

I heard rumors about the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City is going to delay immigrant cases for 1 to 2 years. Does anyone hear about this?

1st email, May 19, 2009

1st visit, first face to face, June 17, 2009

2nd visit, December 24, 2009

3rd visit, engaged in Vietnam, June 6, 2010

Filed K-1, June 17, 2010

4th visit,December 26, 2010

INTERVIEWED May 21, 2011 --> RE: Additional documents

5th visit, both of us went in to submit additional documents on June 16, 2011---> Result AP.

6th visit, I went to the Consulate on December 28, 2011

Got back to the US and asked Congressman for help.

March 10, Asked Senators for help.

March 27, 2012 DoS status indicated an expedite on my case after Senators inquiry

End of March, Phone call from Consulate at 11:30PM.

April 13 (or so) received letter asked to update medical and police report

Received VISA April 28, 2012

6/1/09 - 6/11/09-----> First meeting (Japan)

11/11/09 - 11/21/09-----> Second meeting (Japan)

2/7/10 - 2/14/10-----> Third meeting (Vietnam) (First trip to Vietnam)

4/1/10 - 4/11/10-----> Fourth meeting (Vietnam) (Second trip to Vietnam)

5/5/10-----> I-129F: NOA1

8/27/10-----> NOA2

12/20/10-----> Interview Date

Some people my fiancee know in Vietnam. To be honest, I think they misunderstood or do not understand why other cases were delayed so they think it's that. Old Vietnamese folks (parents, grandparents). If the US consulate is going to delay, then it should send me a notice or it should be in the consulate news. I do not believe it, but I just want to confirm if anyone heard about this.

Some people my fiancee know in Vietnam. To be honest, I think they misunderstood or do not understand why other cases were delayed so they think it's that. Old Vietnamese folks (parents, grandparents). If the US consulate is going to delay, then it should send me a notice or it should be in the consulate news. I do not believe it, but I just want to confirm if anyone heard about this.

Many VN live on rumors or the spreading of rumors. Don't believe anything.

I actually heard that too about two months ago. It was my hairdresser in Virginia who told me that.

Received DS-3032 / I-864 Bill: 2010-11-09

Pay I-864 Bill: 2010-11-10

Receive I-864 Package:

Return Completed I-864: 2010-11-18

Return Completed DS-3032: 2010-11-22

Receive IV Bill: 2010-12-02

Pay IV Bill: 2010-12-03

Receive Instruction Package: 2010-12-28

Case Completed at NVC: 2011-01-11

Visa Received : 2011-04-30
