Ok so this is going to be a lengthy post. I applied for AOS in November after my wife and I got married. We sent the correct fees before the fee change but to the wrong lockbox. We got a return of all the documents for the wrong fee after they forward the documents to Chicago. Ok I get it that was my fault...so I sent the correct fees and we get a quick response that they have accepted our package and shortly after receive the letter for the biometrics for January 19. The nightmare begins here: I get there and the man doing the fingerprinting asks me if all my information is correct and I notice that the birthyear is one year wrong. So I am instructed to call and fix the issue with USCIS but am allowed to do the prints. After the biometics I call USCIS and fix the issue and I receive a letter stating that they correctedthe mistake. February 25 I receive the notification that my EAD was in the mail. I waited every day for the postman since that letter and have been hugely dissapointed as the days have passed. Today was the breaking point and I called the useless number and they told me to wait 30 days before I put in a service request. Unsattisfied my wife told me to call again and so I did. So when I called the second time I spoke to a really nice lady who I managed to ask if there is a delivery confimation on the EAD's and she said yes and was transferrring me to a tir two operator who could assist me. SHOCKER TIME: The lady in tier two could not verify my address as it was not my address in the system. I kept guessing different adresses that I put down as previous adresses but I have been at the same for 4 years. She kept asking me if I had representation and If I was in the military. Overwhelemed she would not budge and give me any information and told me to go to a local uscis office which i managed to schedule an hour away from me. I had 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there. I got there and explained that I was sent to the person who was covering the check in and he looked at me with a puzzled look and asked me if I was in the military because it seems that my address is located in the middle east.. #######???? He asked me to take a number and take a seat. The window called me and he was no longer to be found. It was time to explain the situation to the lady helping my case and she made a call and told me that the address is not the same as I was showing on all my documents and that somebody called in January to change the address. I told her that there was no way anybody would call as only my wife and I know about this process and has my personal information. She would not budge and would not give me any information on the new address. She told me to wait two weeks to come back to see if the EAD card comes back undeliriable and to change my address on the site to my current address. She was done with my questioning and pleading that my address be corrected right away as I might be receiving more notifications soon. She was basically done with me and told me to do as she said. I went home steaming and tilted and logged on. I could change it because I dont know what the current address is in the system.I called the USCIS and asked to be tranffered to a tier 2 operator and the lady tried to help me as best as she can and told me that there is no way that she can correct the address problem and that I would have to go back to an info pass and if I have a problem with the person to escalate the situation to a supervisor. She also would not budge on the address bu when I mentioned the middle east., She kept telling me I need to go back to info pass. The worst part is that Im from South America and am afraid that maybe my computer got hacked!!!! Please give any advise as Im going back there tommorow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it possible they mixed up the case number with someone else's case? The whole thing sounds really mixed up...

What baffles me the most about this thing is this: If they are refusing to allow you to change your address back to the correct address, even though I am sure you have shown them proof of your identity and address and everything else by now - How in gods name would they have let someone change the address to this middle eastern address OVER THE PHONE in the first place?? There is no way someone could have just called them and said "btw, I've recently moved to the middle east, this is my name, here is my new address, can you change it".. It's just not possible.. so I think the explanation "someone called to change it" is definitely total BS...

Yeah i agree this is totally bs.... i think that they screwed up with someone in the military or I have no clue. I showed them my proof of residence and they wouldlnt change it so why would they just take a phone address change. I will kick and scram tommorow if i have to.

Oh wow i hope u can get this worked out!

Just came back from infopass appointment. It seems to me that it has been a mixup with someone serving in the military, hence the address change. They wont admit that they srewed up but the address is definately on us base in the middle east. The lady today actually changed my address and put in a service request for the EAD card. Nothing I can do at this point but wait...i guess. Thanks for the understanding.

ok here is what happen in my case the lawyers office did not file my case, so the lawyer sent me a fake receipt with some one else number on it so when i call uscis to change my address all the persons notification started comming to my address even her 130 approval so i called uscis back and told them this is not my name but my receipt number so they told me to go to a local office which i did, then they discover that that number does not belong to me meanwhile the other person does not have a notification either because a year later the mail for the other person was still coming to my house. then i found out i was a victim of froud my my attoney. and all the money i payed for 130 and the retainer fee was lost even my moneyorder to uscis was cashed by an individual. so dont wait because they are going to keep sending it to the wrong address and after a year they will tell you you abandoned the aos, to make an infopass then change the address on line again they will not give you any info on the phone sorry. goodluck
