How quick is AP issued?

I've got an on-going court case back home and may be called as a witness at some point in the next 2-3 months... how quick do they normally issue AP and do you think they'd speed it up if I mention this?

Just to clarify I haven't filed it yet - just waiting on the tax return transcripts before we file everything (probably it will be sent off within a week).

From what I see the I-131 may take 2 months to approve.

I don't know if mentioning it will speed it up but it wouldn't hurt.

It has been taking about 2-3 months for AP to be approved.

I don't know if mentioning the court case at home will help or not.

If after you have applied for but not yet received the AP and you receive a supoena to appear as a witness, you may wish to make an infopass appointment to see if they can issue an emergency AP. Normally they are used to dealing with medical emergencies, however I suspect, although I don't know, that a legal document such as a supoena would also carry sufficient weight for them to issue an emergency AP, especially as you had already filed the necessary paperwork, which had mentioned the possibility.
