Hi all,

I see so many US citizens getting frustrated with the Visa process. Can we start a pitition drive to send our concern and proposals to stream line the Visa process? A better response system from all the government department to give us correct and timely information.

Has any one did such drive before using the internet?

We should request the one who have gone through this frustrating process to help.

Many get frustrated as they go through it. Once it is over many tend to forgive and forget. I feel the system is doing what it is intended to do and works relatatively well. Certain things slow cases down and, right or wrong, those items have to be corrected. A better tracking system is a great idea but would further add to the costs associated with the visa process and more taxes needed from the citizens to pay those employees. The system may need some tweaking here and there but I think it works well.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

While the State Department issues visas, I think you'll find that most of the frustration is with USCIS, part of the Dept. of Homeland Security. USCIS doesn't issue visas. Streamlining the process would require hiring more USCIS adjudicators and raising fees yet again. That was done in 2007 with some minor fee adjustments since then. For a short time, things did speed up but they are now slow again, in general slower than before 2007. USCIS is not taxpayer funded. It is funded by the fees we pay for filing petitions and applications.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
