The check will be cashed tomorrow.. Ours took one business day after email notification.

Also, I noticed that our cases can now (3 business days later) be seen on the USCIS website, not that I trust what it says..whistling.gif

Haha good point- but at least you can view them! Our AP and EAD are still "invalid" after 3 1/2 weeks!!

Ah yes, well. I'm preferring to look at that as a sign that the green card will just magically appear and we won't NEED AP and EAD..... Right?:thumbs::D

Hello! I got the texts and emails today  Me and hubby are very happy. It's so funny cuz I was reading VJ on my phone when I got all the texts and emails. I called my hubby right away. I guess they finally dig on their baskets, and got our files (filed and received on almost the same dates). To those who haven't received them yet, just be patient. I got the notifications on the 29th day. Btw, I also emailed them this morning, telling them that we are very concerned if they got our applications, with all the infos and SSN's, and checks. I got the texts 4 hours later.

Good luck to all of us.

My wife and I filed for her AOS from F-1 on March 10th and still haven't heard anything. We overnighted the docs. from USPS and they were signed for March 11th. Any ideas on what is taking so long? Does it take longer if you file at the Chicago lockbox that only accepts mail from USPS? Thanks for any info.

You are actually posting in the "wrong" March AOS thread - since your wife is AOSing from an F1 visa, the correct thread for you is under the AOS from work, student or tourist visa section :) Not that it matters that much - I doubt these folks mind you here, but we at the Work/student/tourist visa forum will be going through the same process as you will. People here at the AOS from family based visas are mainly AOSing from K1 or K3 visas, and the process for them is different a bit. Lot of them probably won't have interviews, since they have already gone through the grilling once to get their K1/K3 visas before coming to the US to marry.

Again, this is not to say you SHOULDN'T be posting here! But it's good for you to know that the processes for the people in this forum might be a bit different than yours will be!

I sent it to USCIS Headquarters office of service center operations. I'm not 100% sure if they got/read my email before they sent me the e-notifications or it so happened that they were working on my applications. There's no harm in trying. I called them last week and was transferred to a 2nd tier officer and she told me she can't check on my file unless they cashed the checks. I explained to her that I just want to find out if my packet made it to their office.

Good luck and hope you hear from them soon.
