Just to update: today we received a letter in the mail with the Biometrics Appointment scheduled for April 15 at 11:00 am. The letter is dated March 31, 2011.

Also, just about an hour ago I received SMS and e-mail saying that on April 1, 2011 they mailed us a request for evidence for our I-485. If anything, I think this is because of my request to correct the A# on I-485. Well, let's see when it arrives. I just hope it will not mess up with our Bio Appointment.

03/17/11 - AOS/AP/EAD package sent

03/29/11 - Checks cashed by US Dept of Homeland Security

03/31/11 - NOA1 (hard copy) received via snail mail

04/04/11- Received Bio Appointment letter (for 4/15/11)

04/04/11- Touch (received SMS &E-mail)

04/12/11- Received RFE (request for yet another translation of Birth Certificate)

04/15/11- Bio Appointment (success!)

04/16/11- RFE Mailed to NVC

04/19/11- Touch (RFE answer received by NVC) (SMS & E-mail)

05/18/11- EAD card production ordered

05/18/11- AP postdecision activity - letter mailed (SMS & e-mail)

05/26/11 - EAD/AP combo card in hand

10/13/11 - AOS Inteview scheduled (10:30 am) APPROVED!

10/21/11- Green Card in hand!

Phew...what a relief to find this page. My wife and I sent in her aos package on March 7th and have usps confirmation on there website they recieved it on March 9th. We are one of the unlucky couples still not getting any response at all. We look almost every day now to see if the check has been cashed yet. The one thing that worried us was that some users said while we were researching the package to get a barcode. We looked and looked and could find no direct link on this website to what it was and nothing on the govt website. Just saying that in case it is a problem. We also got 2 noa2's on our k1 after months of waiting and calling. Hopefully no problem there either. Till we found the forum we thought we were the only couple who was waiting so long, be a month on Wednesday. Now it is not so lonely waiting but is more than frustrating :( Any idea what is taking so long for us unlucky ones, this really is just crazy.

I think everyone waited to get their taxes so they can file their AOS lol.

Well, you never know.

Well, no touch on AOS since transfer, AP and EAD receipt numbers still showing "not found" in case status online.

So, we've been transferred to CSC, which is 'to expedite' the processing (as ironic as this is that something taking weeks is 'the fast way').

I tried to look back through some of the other threads to answer this question, but didn't see it...perhaps one of you knows...

When they make the decision to expedite the AOS, do they just hold (or not do?) the AP and EAD because the green card eclipses the need for the other two? Any info?

Thanks!

I am really curious to know what type of system they have going in regards to processing our packages.

Ok, so the packages arrive at the mail room!

What does the next or first person do that takes a long time to get through all the packages.

Everybody knows that our $$$ is non-refundable, so why can the first person just open the package enter the name of person and then cash the check.

Then the next person who gets the paperwork, makes sure the package is complete or not.

To bad our AOS packages can not be submitted in person, how effective and assuring would that be for everyone, knowing that our package is their hands!

I would start pulling my hair, but don't want to take the chance of my husband leaving me for going crazy and bald!!

Making progress, we got our NOA1 on March 25 and now we got a letter with the biometrics scheduled for April 20. Thank God! Everything is moving swiftly, just trying to keep patient and let them keep moving.

It does seem like their mailroom must be one big cluttered mess by the randomness of how they pick which package to pick up and not doing it by when the package seems to have arrived into the mail room :bonk: ......they are making me very proud of how my room looks now... :wow: ..by the way nice job of tracking everyones dates.... :)

..by the way nice job of tracking everyones dates.... :)

Thank you! :innocent:

It helped me know where I stood in connection with other members in another forum I participated in for our I-601 (Waiver)

So thought I would try it here.

Hope it helps everyone in this thread to know how things are going and support each other

If only we could show up to the mail look for our package and tell the person in charge, "Hey, are you going to take my money or not? Now process my AOS PLEASE!!!" with a big smile of course...
