hi, sorry late reply. I have my green card already! Received it on the mail yesterday. We did not have interview, we just got approved. Thank God! Can I go out of the country now for a vacation?

Congrats! You are finished for 21 months! You can go wherever you want (just don't stay outside of the U.S. for more than 6 months!)

I'm really hoping something unexpected like that happens for my wife... Now, we are the last without a GC or an interview date...:(

Hope you hear something soon, too...

We just got a response to a service request that my wife put in at the 6 month mark. Nothing more than "Your case is currently under review." Well, no $#!t.., Sherlock! Why is it still under review is what we would like to know!

I really don't understand the delay in our case. USCIS is forcing us to cancel plans left and right (and all were made to be well beyond the expected/normal approval time.)

Anyone else from March still waiting for their GC??

It must be something in the water with those guys. They sent us a reply that said your case required extra processing and is currently under review. No kidding we realized that. Our only question is what kind of extra processing do they mean? Our congressman contacted their office and said our case was finally transferred to Phoenix office last week and informed us that they should notify us of our interview time within 60 days. I am guessing that means that sometime in December or January we will be notified that they finally decided we need an interview!

Finally!!

The good news is that they didn't forget us entirely. The bad news is, after more than 7 months, they still want us to come in for an interview on Nov. 30 which means at least another month of waiting...

Any word on your case Larry?

Hope you hear something soon, bigdog..

Three weeks to go for us. We're starting to gather all the paperwork to bring with us. I really can't believe how much they are asking for considering that they've received it ALL at least twice so far. I just want it over so we can actually be in charge of our own lives again - at least for 21 months.

We are doing different procedures but in almost the same boat. We originally filed in March too and are still waiting on an interview in Phoenix. Hope that you get some kind of notice soon.

We're home already. I think it went well. The only hitch was my wife speaks limited English (and he wanted a translator who wasn't me.) Luckily, he let us proceed in English with me clarifying anything she didn't understand. He asked a few of the I-485 questions, verified some of the birth dates, parent's names, etc., looked at photos and took a few copies of financial documents showing joint accounts. He kept her I-94 but didn't take her EAD. He told us that if he needed anything else, he'd call us before 4:30 and if we don't hear from him, expect the welcome letter/GC within 4 weeks.

I'm hoping we get a text message sometime later today.
